old news now...

Just a note....

I got the FireWire enclosure for my 10 gig 2.5" drive from OWC....

No one responded to my inquiries.....so I went for it....

And that's what Apple/Macintosh product I got (well in 2 working days) for Christmas.....

Not exactly Apple product, but the book "next -the future jsut happened" by Michael lewis. A damn good read about the state of technology on society and the revolution in society caused by tech and the internet. Get it, read it.

update...

I figure with all the rumors flying around I could break the cycle a bit with an update on my firewire enclosure...

It was so simple to install the hard drive into the enclosure...very easy & uncomplicated.

Everything runs fine, but the software that came with it kinda confused me some. There's only one partition, which is the full capacity of the drive itself, yet it shows 2 actual separate partitions in the disc utility that came with it. On the desktop there is only 1 firewire icon. Yet, when I hold down "option" at startup, the firewire hard drive shows up twice, rather than just once. I can not figure it out.

Still, it's great to have a 10 gig back up drive now!
