Any Jet Black stories? I'm considering using the Jet Black iPhone caseless with a pouch so that it's safe in the pocket (and doesn't collect as much lint). However, I'd be surprised if it didn't fall once at least a few feet within a year.

I have been having issues with the battery of my iPhone 7 since I bought it, it feels like it is not designed for gaming it drains a lot faster in just an hour it drains my battery from 100% to 50% and the battery only last for a day in standard use, is it normal? because every 5 hours of standby mode it only drains 2% of my battery everytime probably an ios bug? or an internal issue?
It depends on how optimized the game is most likely. I do some heavy games on my phone and it goes down 10% every 20-40 minutes of use.

Yes it can get damaged, it depends on the type of case you have, the height of the drop and the surface it hits.

I have mine in an Otterbox Commuter case with a tempered glass screen protector. It's practically bulletproof.

I had dropped my iPhone 6S while walking, luckily it only had a couple of scratches. It also helps that I took the precautions of getting both glass protection and a case for my iPhone.

There are a lot of little lizards running around where I live so I'm used to them. I had parked my car and was walking up the driveway to the front door as I was holding my iPhone in my right hand.

A freakin lizard falls off the roof of the house onto my hand (what are the odds?). My reflex is to immediately shake my hand to get it off me. I did so and my iPhone went flying into the air and landed completely flat on the cement (so much grass and it had to land on the walkway?).

My heart sank for a moment because this was a brand new Jet black iPhone 7 plus. To my surprise when I picked it up there was no damage at all to the phone or case. /shrug.

Spigen clear case.

Very odd. Lizards are very sure footed and don't fall from anything. What are the odds on that one?

@NeonCore My fiancee can drain an ipad air 2 battery in about 2 to 2.5 hours playing her game.
some hidden odject thing.

The ipad is only 6 months old.

Just as a guide or reference for you.

Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus no case. Dropped 4 times. Twice on Marble flooring, once on wooded bedroom floor and once on pavement. All landing on it's back . The only drop that damaged was the marble and was a relatively small dent to the top left. surprisingly no damage to the back or screen and scratch free.

Just dropped my iPhone 7 from 3 feet bed recently got two dent in upper left and lower left corner and I don't care as long it is working.
Dropped my phone while attempting to put it in my pocket while walking down steps to road. Quickly tried to catch it with my foot and ended up karate kicking it into traffic. Freaky how far it will fly when you are only trying to slow its fall to the concrete. Fortunately only the Apple leather case was slightly scuffed from the incident as I darted stupidly into slow moving traffic to retrieve the very lucky iPhone.

iPhone 7 Plus with a Caseology (Skyfall series in case anyone cares) case. Just one of those weird days I grabbed it out of my pocket awkwardly & flew out onto the concrete patio, bounced 3-4 times do damages to iPhone, the case corners is pitted, but that's the extent of damages.

Ugh, I dropped my Gold SE a few times. It was bought as a temporary phone until the iPhone 7 release, so I never got a case (very stupid of me). Turns out I LOVE the SE! Is there a way to get rid of tiny dent marks?

My iPhones have fallen out of bed onto the tile floor more times than I can count. I typically fall asleep with it and push it out of bed. I've always had decent cases, though, so no damage.

went through a bad time in my life. At this point, breaking things sometimes helped me feel better. I took a spare iPhone 5 and dropped it 27 times face down onto concrete without a case before it cracked...

I've never broken a screen on accident. The iPhone 5 was really durable. The corners would get smashed in, but the glass was always fine.

I recently dropped my matte black 7 (no case). It was in my lap in the car, I got out of the car, it fell face down on the cement, then I stepped on it before I realized what happened. Once I looked down and saw it was my phone I was afraid to pick it up.
The screen was actually fine- not even a scratch. I must have had some small stones in the tread of my boot though, because the back has a few scratches down to the bare metal and a couple very small dents.
I now have a case on it- mostly to stop me from looking at the marks more than for protection.
I should have learned my lesson. I think I dropped my phone from my lap when getting out of the car with at least 2 phones before this. I have yet to break a screen though.

Used to be a garbage man. Was at work one day with the iPhone 5. Was talking on it while working. It was winter time. Hopped off the truck at a stop. Slipped on ice. Landed flat on my back. Phone flew out of my hand probably around 6' in the air and slid about 10' across the icy road. No scratches. Screen was fine no dents. No case or screen protector was on it either.

Dropped my iPhone 5s from about 5', was on my
Hip in a holster case, no pther case or screen protector. The holster broke. Fell into concrete garage floor. No damage.

Had my 6s plus sitting on a tool box in a work truck (different job). No case or screen protector Was in a hurry to get down the road and shut a fire hydrant off. Forgot about it. Slid off and feel onto some steel rods. Cracked the screen in the corners.  actually replaces it free of charge for me.

Dropped my 7 plus onto linoleum floor a couple times.  silicone case. No issues.

I was preparing for a run and took my iPhone 6s out of my Flipbelt to set up my running app when.. the phone slipped out of my hand, hit the concrete sidewalk, bounced a couple times and slide on its face for about a foot. I stood there thinking "well, this is a good excuse to get the iPhone 7". I picked the phone up expecting the worst, but there wasn't a single scratch on the face. The top of the aluminum housing has a small scratch, though. This was the first time I had ever dropped a phone. I don't know what the face of the iPhone 6s is made of but I'm amazed that the screen can take that much punishment without shattering or scratching. I'm guessing gorilla glass?

I stopped at Best Buy on the way home and bought an Otterbox case.
