It;s just crap to drive up day one demand so they can have another"oh the iPhone sold out! give us press about it!"

Flawed logic. I know a lot of people around here love to go this "Apple is intentionally shorting supply for an easy sell out," but obviously they've never been to B-school. In the business world, companies strive for a guaranteed sale today rather than hope customers come back to buy a few weeks later. (A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush).

The iPhone won't "sell out," it will be back ordered if parts run short. And potential new customers may not wait or won't be able to wait weeks longer. Apple would much rather have a constant supply. A legitimate product sells without cheap gimmicks.

But the truth is Apple is going to sell tens of millions of iPhones worldwide even if this news wasn't announced. It was announced for Sharp shareholders info, as it's relevant to earnings, and not disseminated to hype any presumed iPhone shortage.

For that is how you make a Flan

Wow, this went to an odd place. You guys cracked me up and woke me up this am. :D

Thank you, I get so tired of all these conspiracy theorists sometimes.

they might have to get samsung to make them just like they had to do with the ipad 3 when sharp had delayed the order.

So... Samsung - maybe we can negotiate a settlement....

Kidding.
