Let's see, the original poster is now 17-18 so should have sorted out by now where to shave.
As you get older, hair starts to sprout in places you wish it wouldn't. For anyone who recognizes my avatar, I'm closer to Fr Jack than I'd wish for ... I don't have hairy hands syndrome. Hairy ears and nose but thankfully not yet at Denis Healy eyebrow level.

eyebrows, unibrows the are worst, overly bushy can be taken care of too.

I'm changing my opinion that I expressed earlier in this thread:
Shave your face unless facial hair looks really good on you. Facial hair just makes kissing scratchy.
Shave your chest only if you find your chest hair to be uncomfortable. I tend to think hairy chests are sexier, but shaved chests are more functional 🙂.
Shave your pubes if you want to look like a child 😉. No, on second thought, don't shave your pubes. I like to trim mine pretty much as short as possible with a pair of scissors, which means that there is texture in the area, so it isn't uncomfortable and prickly while the hairs grow back like it is when you shave, and it doesn't look prepubescent.
Arm Pit Hair - Trim it if it's out of control. I like to trim mine every once in a while, mine gets a tiny bit out of control.
Leg Hair - Trim it if it's out of control. Or don't. Mine might be a tiny bit out of control on my upper legs but I don't trim it, it's too much work for me to bother with.
Head - shave it if you have a nicely shaped head 🙂. I loooove shaved heads. Growl 🙂.

I shave when I can be arsed. Face only. One day I'm going to lose a bit of fat and tone up though, then I might shave the few bits of hair on my chest. Actually nah, sod that. I tell you one thing though, having a long term girlfriend sure makes you lazy when it comes to shaving!! Yourself that is.

If I may give a woman's opinion:
Shaved = mostly akward, hard to pull off.
Trimmed = Best option.
Running naturally wild = bleh!
As for age, if you are growing hair you are old enough to make a decision to shave/not shave. It is your body after all.
