In the context of cleaning, you know exactly what they mean as "solvent".

Same thing if you get your hands dirty with paint and someone tells you to use a solvent to remove it, you know they don't mean water.
I do understand what they mean by 'solvent', but that term is so vague it encompasses many different chemicals, lots of them which nobody would clean their computer with. I've never had someone use such general terms as 'solvent' to tell me how to get off paint, super glue, etc. The person usually just says what product they intend to say.

I feel that this topic has been discussed enough. Do we really need to start debating what counts as a solvent?

I'll reiterate what's been said, grab a lint free cloth, preferably a microfiber cloth. Dampen part of the cloth, wipe screen, keyboard, and body. Use a dry portion of said cloth to dry off your computer.

If you wipe the keyboard daily using a microfiber cloth, there won't be any oil remaining on the keys which is acidic and eventually wear down the coating.

Thats how I kept mine looking nearly new and I sold it
