most Germans I know that work in the US then return bring a car back with them. Usually a large-engined Audi A4/S4 because they're roughly 50% less expensive on the used market in the US, compared to Germany.
shipping usually runs 1-2k and the conversions are minimal (with an Audi).

as a side note, although there are not so many of them, EVERY one from Norway that has ever worked in the US bring s a car back with them. Thanks to their 100% sales tax on new cars, good used cars are worth a fortune in Norway.

I was thinking on bringing grandma as well.
Grandma and aunt Rudy like each other, they sip a cup of tea every wednesday. Aunt Rudy has five cats, three of them which she can't leave alone. We're thinking on bringing them as well. However, two of those cars love their sand boxes. Those are filled with toys and have a shovel each one. If we were buying them in Japan, oh my god, dear those are expensive! way better to take them with us. Is there a way I can ship all of them to Japan. See, the thing here is to have grandma and aunt Rudy together, and the cats with aunt Rudy, and the cats with their sand boxes.

given that this thread is over 6 years old, we might as well go for a record. I want to ship me to Europe with my car... and I'm serious about it... think of the reduced stress. drive to the port, RORO, drive to Amsterdam for a well deserved rest.. any transport companies selling a cabin with the car transport? How about working your way across?
