Hey all. So on my confirmation email, it says the estimated ship date is 2/10, but on the Verizon FAQ it says if you preorder you should recieve the phone on or before 2/10. Is everyone elses shipping status the same?

I was just going to post a thread about this, but I also see the same thing. Same day shipping? I doubt it.

Edit: My order has Next Day 3PM Shipping. Does this mean that anyone with a ship date of 2/10 will receive it on 2/11, or are Verizon's systems not built to handle post-dated purchases, since none of us have been technically charged yet?

it says that for everyone. mine says expected shipped date is 2/10/11.. but we'll all get it before the 10th..hopefully

and in my email confirmation it says "estimate ship date 2/10/11" could be earlier..

Come to think of it, that would be a fantastic move by Verizon.

Think about it. All existing customers fully expect to receive their new phones on 2/10. Imagine the publicity if they started showing up a few days early. Existing customers were be thrilled and might even help recruit new users best on the positive experience.

It would be a brilliant move ad virtually no cost to Verizon......

i hope it happens.. i want to receive it before the 10th before the general public.. i know all those who pre-order would love to receive the iphones couple days early

Just keep watching your Verizon order status. It should tell you when it ships (hopefully).

It's funny, I think we all expect a cluster, but so far, the process has been unexpectedly great. I just hope I'm not speaking too soon!

Mine says the same thing. I know without a doubt we'll receive them at the latest on the 10th, as that is what Verizon has claimed on their FAQ page. They would be facing rioting masses if they didn't follow through with that.

I hope that they do release them earlier to us, though. I know I'm dreaming here, but how amazing would it be if the overnight FedEx shipping was accurate and we were all receiving them tomorrow? :D

And your bank account. Everyone should have $0.00 balance from verizon on your online banking account. once it has the total price of the phone, that $0.00 will turn into -$$$.$$ and that means your phone is on its way. What im pissed about is verizon is shipping FedEx. Verizon ALWAYS gave me the option to use UPS wich is way better and faster. grrr. oh well.

yeah fedex overnight free so I am guessing it will ship on the 9th and show up on the 10th before 3pm or so. Just saves having to deal with the store I guess.

You mean like what happened last summer when Apple shipped phones early? It wasn't that big of a deal...

Wow glad you got one I wouldn't dare ordering this late.

Are you kidding? You do realize that production of the Verizon iPhone 4 is in the millions. How many do you think they sold in the last 7 hours?

I just checked my confirmation and it has the 2/10 ship date as well (ordered 3:30 EST). Shipping method does show FedEx Standard Overnight. When I'll get it is anyone's guess.

Are you kidding? You do realize that Verizon has 94 million subscribers that have NEVER had an opportunity to have an iPhone before?

before the general public? who the h*ll do you think you are? get serious man. its not like verizon is some exclusive club.

It looks like it is a little different for business orders. This is what was in my confirmation email (free next day shipping also).

"Congratulations on being one of the first to experience the iPhone 4 on Verizon! Your order will be processed and shipped by 2/9/2011. You will receive an additional notification once your order has been shipped."

mine says the same and i just ordered it 10 min ago at 9:13am

Same here. I also ordered at 9:13 am. I placed an order last night at 2:55 am but had to cancel it because the account was in my wife's name and I entered my info. Financial Services had me cancel my original and reorder. No problem at all.

I don't really care if i get it on the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th. A few days doesn't matter at all to me.

The biggest reason it would make sense for Verizon to ship them a few days early: It would spread out the activations over several days rather than everyone trying to get it done on the 10th. If they want a smooth rollout, they should make sure the pre-orders start arriving on even the 7th or 8th. That way the inevitable CS issues and questions can be handled in two waves rather than one.

Not saying that means they're gonna do it, but its how I would do it if I were them.

The high-end estimate for Verizon iPhones to be sold in ALL of '11 is 25 million. Most analysts think it'll come in somewhere around 15 million. So, that 94 million number means nothing. The vast majority of Verizon subscribers are either 1.) not eligible for an upgrade and refuse to pay retail; 2.) happy with their existing smartphone and see no need to upgrade; 3.) don't want a smartphone; 4.) don't want the added cost of a data plan; 5.) are corporate customers who cannot upgrade a phone without their company first putting it on spec.
