Shipping date for people who ordered through verizon

Holy *****! You just made me check mine again and mine changed to shipped, too! Since it's overnight, I should get it tomorrow then!!!!!!

Yep, my status changed to shipped on the status check which is on verizon's iphone order site, but I haven't received any shipping information yet...on the normal order status website, it just comes up with an error message

EDIT: And my credit card has been charged as well now.
 
Underpromise, overdeliver? Please???

I called Verizon yesterday afternoon to make some minor changes to my account prior to ordering last night. The rep told me that iPhone orders made online for existing customers will be shipped and recieved by February 8th. I'm hoping this is true! Ordered at 2:45AM online (they opened 15 minutes early) and my confirmation says the same - fed ex overnight delivery by 3PM on 2/10/11.

I think a "staggered start" would be super smart but am happy to get the dang thing whenever it arrives...

I ordered from Apple, thank god because I could change the shipping address to the apartment I live in Long Beach and not my parents house in AZ.

I don't know if anyone else has checked but my order status already went to Prepared for Shipment. Hope it comes soon :)
 
I was ace order number 595 and ordered it about 2:55 eastern time. And now it says shipped! Definetely worth staying up and be sleep deprived today. This is the last post that will ever come from my crappy droid.

Did you order from VerizonWireless.com or Apple.com?
 
Interesting. My ace order is 293xxxx and my order status is "We received your order and it is in process".

Curious to see if and when it changes. That's what I get for sleeping in to 5:45 ;)
 
Most likely everyone who pre-ordered will change to "shipped" but it wont actually go out until mid next week.

Verizon has probably over 2 million pre-orders. They're going to have to box them up, print out labels, setup shipping, etc, and then get them all out in time for delivery on or just prior to the 10th.

That means they have to pre-print the FedEx labels en masse. So when yours changes to Shipped it's most likely because they've boxed your order, applied the FedEx label, and it's now in the dock(s) awaiting shipping on X date since as far as their system is concerned the moment that label is scanned it's shipped.

It'd be nice to be quicker but I wouldn't count on it TBH.
 
I completed my order by 3:00am EST and I was Order #4647... does that mean 4646 people ordered prior to me? Holy cow! My status still has ship date of 2/10 but when I was ordering it said estimated delivery date was 2/10... so not sure. I hope to receive it early... I see some peeps are stating theirs have a shipped status... how cool it would be to reward your existing customers with a early surprise!

TRUE! I will not get too excited until they send me my email with tracking info!
 
where is the verizon forums with people posting that? do you have a link or site?
 
You guys getting all excited... You know it is possible to ship something and have a "hold to" or "deliver on" date. Same as has been done before...
 
There are two possibilities here:

1. The phones may actually arrive a day or two early.
2. The tracking data may indicate they could arrive early but then at the last minute the status will change to "package held at shipper request" and will not arrive until the 10th, as directed by Apple.

Both have happened before.

I'm leaning towards #1 in this case simply because this is not an all new model release (ie. iPhone 5) and there does not appear to be an information embargo (reviews of the Verizon iPhone 4 are already out). Verizon also appears to be more ready than AT&T was in the past. Assuming the activation servers are ready for the data load, you just might see your phones early. But don't count on it just because the tracking data says so. Tracking data can change in an instant.
 
I haven't received any shipping info, but Apple has already charged my card. I would expect mine early next week...but if it doesn't show up until the 9th or 10th, I won't die...I've made it this long!

Are you an idiot? When the iphone was scheduled to be released on 6/24, Thousands of people who pre-ordered received them on 6/23 and some even on 6/22, BEFORE THE GENERAL PUBLIC, who waited on line. That's what he's referring to. I received my phone on 6/23 as well and there were people already online for days at apple stores all across the US for phones. If you got your pre-order in already, you may very well receive it early if it's anything like the ATT release which is all people have to go by.




And to everyone else touting 95 million subscribers, about 1/3 of them dont care what kind of phone they have. 1/5 of them are probably young kids who can't afford the iphone anyway and not EVERYONES parents are jumping on opening order online day to buy it from them. ALSO, alot of people not eligible for an upgrade won't be buying it yet anyway, they'll wait. And some will wait until June to see if an updated Iphone 4 comes out.

I'd venture to say there will probably be under 7 millon pre-orders and less then 15 million people that buy it the first 2-3 days when it becomes available in the stores.
 
My order status says PRE? I looked at my credit card statement and there are two $1 pending charges from VZW. Does anyone else have this?
