I believe the orders that have been charged and stating shipped, will receive their tracking numbers BY tomorrow. but what do I know

Shipping date for people who ordered through verizon

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is illegal to charge BEFORE shipping
I believe the orders that have been charged and stating shipped, will receive their tracking numbers BY tomorrow. but what do I know
Verizon Customer Service claims FAQ date of 2/10/11 is wrong.
I ordered (upgraded) through Verizon's iPhone promotional site at 3am and when I check my order status through my Verizon Account, it just shows blank space after "Here is the status of your order.", but through the iPhone page, my status is still "We received your order and it is in process." with an expected ship date of 2/10/11.
Verizon's FAQ site (http://support.vzw.com/faqs/iphone/iphone_faq.html) definitely says that pre-orders will arrive on or before 2/10/11, so I called customer service, and was told that was incorrect. Tuwan (sp?) claimed that they could not get the phone in anyone's hands before 2/10/11, and that those who pre-ordered on the site, would have their phones on 2/14/11. What?! I told her that wasn't what their FAQ said, and she replied that it was wrong, apologized, and said she would pass up the feedback.
She did say, I could cancel my order online and wait in line at the store on Feb. 10th if I had to have it by then.
I hope she was wrong and just trying to make me mad because she had a bad day of people like me calling in. Can't imagine that they would put all that effort into marketing to "existing loyal Verizon customers" just to mess up this bad.

I was told the same thing. BUt they added that they could cancel my order and redo it with my work address but that would mean that i would be bumped to the end of the line as far as first come first serve goes.
They told me that what I could do is once I have the tracking number, to contact FedEx and give them the change of address info. My regular FedEX delivery guy that comes to my office everyday also confirmed that this is what I should do as well.
Order # 6284, status just changed to shipped in the past 10 minutes.
wtf, im order # 3397 and I am still being processed. Verizon is hating on me

Did you have to put in your drivers liscense and social for credit approval? I did for a new line and im still being processed. I think that is maybe why its taking some longer.
I am processed and shipped although I believe they will hold them to the 9th.. hoping I am wrong! They will send us an email confirmation when it ships with the tracking number so untill then.. the wait continues.. This is ..wait for it.. legendary.. lol
Order # is in the 2000's, states that order has shipped. Ordered three iPhone 4 32 GB units, my girlfriends order of two iPhone 4's is still in process, and her's were ordered minutes after mine. All ordered from Verizon website. I'm not putting much into all of this until I see a shipping tracking number, lets hope for before the 10th
I ordered my iphone this morning about 5 mins till 3am and my order # is in the 1000's I noticed my order status on the Verizon site says my order has shipped. Sure would be nice if they did ship overnight, however i don't expect until early next week sometime.
i hate to be so negative. but i called vwz and the iPhones will be shipped next week. he told me that the biggest no no for verizon is too ship the phones early, "steve jobs order" so he seems to know what hes talking about since we know how steve jobs can be. but if you look at it this way.... whats ONE more week after 4 years of waiting?

Are we sure that these order #'s are sequential? Mine is 1183509, I ordered in the first 45 minutes after having some of the same shipping glitches others have stated. Seems awfully high.
In the Macrumors section of the forums, some people are claiming to already have their FedEx tracking number and delivery date as tomorrow by 3 pm...

Kinda bummed that I ordered thru Apple. None that I know of have gone to "shipped" yet, so for sure no delivery tomorrow.
That's probably more reason to believe that nobody will get their phone before the 9th whether they ordered through Verizon or Apple.
I ordered at 12am ....and I did not have any credit info that needed to be verified (VZ customer for 5 years) so they have all my info....
As far as I know - 2 weeks ago there was some verizon post stating orders placed for the iPhone 4 before 8 AM will ship the same day. It seems to be true so far. My order was also placed around 305 EST and it says "Order has been shipped." Some posters are reporting receiving a shipment notification email as well.
