Shipping estimates for the new 1080p Apple TV have already slipped to 1-2 weeks in Apple's U.S. online store, likely indicating that the company has run through its launch stock of the set-top box. The new Apple TV debuted earlier today with a shipping date of "Delivers on March 16", but Apple is no longer promising delivery on that date. Online stores for nearly every other country in which Apple offers the Apple TV are currently showing shipping (not delivery) windows of March 16-19.

Supplies of the new iPad appear to be holding up in most locations, with all models in the United States and a number of other countries still showing delivery dates of March 16. Apple's online store in Hong Kong is, however, currently showing the new iPad as unavailable for pre-ordering. Some countries are showing somewhat broader estimates than seen in the U.S. and other markets, with delivery in Australia and Singapore expected in the window of March 16-22, Switzerland showing a window of March 16-21, and Canada offering an estimate of March 16-20.

I'm glad I ordered my new iPad and :apple:TV quickly and painlessly early this afternoon.

I'm surprised the iPad is still showing March 16th, though.

Man I ordered my Apple TV first then bought 3 iPads

one accidentally and its already prepared for shipping lol.....

It is mildly surprising to me that the AppleTV is selling so well. But I will say this: When the original AppleTV could not play video shot on my iphone4 without transcoding, I was finally convinced to upgrade. I don't have a 4S, but if this is a problem with it, I would probably upgrade.

I have an iPad 2 (WiFi only) which I got on launch day last year, and am tempted to upgrade, but really the only compelling feature for me is the Retina display. And I don't know that I want to pay the trade-up cost AND a slight increase in weight/thickness just for that...

I placed my Apple TV order about 2 hours from when the store came back online and it indicated 1-3 day shipping. This is my second Apple TV purchase. Apple doesn't make much off the box but their content sales are growing exponentially.

cheers

Impulse buying at it's finest. Didn't anybody notice when you pre-ordered the New iPad the New Apple TV was in the list of things to buy along with your order ?

Excellent marketing.

;)

And it's not a hobby either. It's an integral part of Apple's world domination plan.

not too interested in the Apple TV, but mainly for the iPad

Apple Online Store was really hogged down right after the Keynote Presentation. Tried Pre-Ordering through my iPhone a bunch of times, but the Apple Store App kept closing on me! Tried Calling, couldn't get through! Tried Ordering through my iMac, but got timed out more than 20 times!!!

Finally, I was able to Process my Pre-Order and got my Confirmation Email at 1:58pm... time to relax :()

I'm sure it was all just a coincidence that they added a fancy new camera capable of 1080p video capture to the new iPad the same day they made the Apple TV capable of 1080p video playback via AirPlay.

;)

You're an idiot. "accidentally"...right. What the hell could you possibly do with 3 iPads.

The new iPad is limited to 2 per customer.

My guess he is just trolling / attention seeking.

Probably right. Sorry for sounding like an A hole, but come on...

Actually, I accidentally had $3,200 worth of iPads in my cart.
Everytime a page would time out most the way through, it would save to my cart apparently.

But yes, you couldn't actually order more than 2 without separate transactions.

I'm still shocked at this late hour the shipping times haven't slipped. I'll prob order an :apple: tv one of these days. Hopefully before the NHL playoffs begin to watch NHL game center but I rather order a Mac Pro first ;)

I ordered my first iPad and my first Apple TV today. Really intrigued by the Air Play features especially with Mountain Lion coming this summer. Think it will be a nice little $99 investment.

Apple TV still showing 16-19 March for delivery in UK/Germany.

I'd originally put it on the same order as my iPad and it was showing grouped delivery 16-19 March.

Have since moved the Apple TV to its own order and my iPad will now be delivered March 16th. :)

Does anyone know if you can subscribe to the nba etc. If you live outside the us?

iPad's confirmed as arriving next Friday :) Didn't bother with an ATV as the upgrade was fairly pointless if you already own the ATV2. Not worth another £100 to go from 720p (1080p with jailbreak) to 1080p on the new one.

Next week's going to be exciting. Got a Raspberry Pi shipping on Monday! :D
(Note if you dont know what that is, you need to look at it. A $25 1080p computer, works as an AppleTV replacement with XBMC and Airplay)

When I placed my order for a black 64GB iPad and Apple TV didn't notice the shipping (UK) date 16 -19th.... Damn!

Really wanted my new iPad on release day :(

i dont think so...BUT

you may be able to use unblock.us
i use this to get around blackouts on nhl gamecenter. all you do is spoof DNS on atv. free trial also (mine hasnt expired)

I think that this device is amazing. But calling it "The new ipad" is like calling a guy "The Born Person"

(sigh) - it's not called "The new iPad", it's called an "iPad." It can be referred to as the new iPad, because this is the latest model in that collection. In the same way as when the last iPod Nano came out, it was often referred to as the "new nano." When the next iMac comes out (hopefully after my bank balance recovers from the new iPad), then it will be called the "iMac" and be referred to as the new iMac.
