Shipping Estimates Throughout Apple's Online Store Suddenly Rise

They were busy updating all the hard drives to 10.7.2.

Just checked the store for both UK ans US and all products are fully back in stock with no shipping delays.
Nothing that new on there. Mac Minis still showing as new.
Looks like they were just doing maintenence on the site.

"In Stock" vs. "Ships: [X] business days"

Some items give estimated shipping times beneath the price (e.g., "Ships: 1-3 business days") while many others just say "in stock" instead.

Does "in stock" status imply a longer wait than for those items with shipping estimates? Or is the web site just vague sometimes?

Almost everything just says "in stock"

Apple Insider noticed that almost nothing has shipping times anymore.

Was it just getting buggy so they had to remove it?

Or does this actually mean that those SKUs stock is getting sparse and they're hiding it?
