Ships by July 14nd" - Now Prepared for Shipment!

So perhaps Apple is producing more phones quicker than they expected?

They put these 'ship by dates' because this is when they expect to have enough product to send out.

Im not sure how it works, but does Apple make a certain amount of phones, and ships them in batches? For example, I'm sure they have had iP4s made and ready to ship for the July 14th date, but have been holding on and just sending them out in batches. Correct me on this please.

PS. Hopefully the white iP4 is closer to Middle July rather than 2nd half of July.*Fingers Crossed*
 
I ordered a 32gb Black iP4, on June 17th and I still have "Not Yet Shipped"....I was getting excited but now I feel like I really might have to wait that long :(

I wish we knew how Apple was shipping these things...
 
So a good 3-4 people have prepared for shipping.

Some good news is better then none huh. Hopefully the rest of us follow suit, hopefully weekend doesn't stop things
 
I recieved my shipping confirmation email from apple at 1AM. Delivers by the 9th.
 
I have 2 32Gb and a 1 16GB that are scheduled to ship on July 14th, nothing as of yet. All have NOT YET SHIPPED status...9am CST 7/2/2010
 
FedEx gives me a delivery date of the 8th. Apples email said the 9th.

these posts are making me very ancy! does apple email you when they have "prepared to" and have actually shipped it? i keep refreshing the order status page, but perhaps i don't have to.

Since most July 2 orders shipped out this week, we can focus on getting ours shipped early next week! Hopefully! Ordered mines on June 21st, 2010. Any updates?

I think those of us still waiting should all start convincing people to cancel their orders because of these nasty signal problems. ;)

Don't worry, it is fedex, which means I wont actually get it until around the 20th, if all goes like normal. They cant seem to find my apartment building ( only building on the street), and tend to loose most, if not all my packages.

At least we know that Apple is shipping this much faster. I ordered mines 4 days after you, and lets hope Apple continues to keep shipping them out.

Ordered: 11:50AM June 16th

Supposed to be july 15th, but it looks like its coming early, to the july 2nd batch! sometime around the 7-8th, it should be here. :D:D:D
