Ships by July 14nd" - Now Prepared for Shipment!

Wow. They're rolling these things out quick. My girlfriend ordered hers around 2:00pm PDT on the 16th and hers has switched to "prepared for shipment."

Edit: Psant: I wouldn't be suprised to see you get yours by the end of next week at the earliest.

I find it strange that people who ordered earlier aren't getting "prepared for shipment", seems to be completely random. :confused:

lol just kidding... that sucks I ordered mine on the 19th (also 32gb) maybe it has to do with the location it's being shipped to

I'm in CA, btw. It could be location, but I did notice 2 CA people on the previous page, 1 shipped, 1 not. Weird!
 
my two orders (32gb) which i placed on june 16 around noon pdt were shipped tonight and are scheduled to arrive in northern california on thurs jul 8th! not bad not bad!
 
Seems like all the 32GB are being shipped. Any 16GB shipped? I don't expect mine to ship till next week. Ordered on the 24th

I have a question now. I got a little impatient and ended up ordering a phone through ATT too on 7/1/10 and decided to try the who ships first game...

Well ATT has a temporary authorization on my card even though it shows backordered. I just checked my order status on APPLE and it shows prepared for shipment now.

The problem is that I might not have enough money in my account with ATT's temp authorization and several automatic bills that went through today. I made another online payment to make up the shortfall, but with a holiday weekend I don't know when it will clear.

How long will Apple keep an order in prepared to ship before trying to charge my card, will they end up canceling my order and leave me waiting another 7-10 days for the ATT phone...

I knew I should have gave it until at least the 2nd to see if our batch status changed as soon as the 2nd came and went...
 
June 19th order

Ordered two 16Gb phones on June 19th, and just checked and both say prepared for shipment. Its funny because I was planning on calling Apple tomorrow to ask why Att told me that I could order from them and the would ship it in 7-10 days when Apple wouldnt ship until the 14th. Guess they are giving themselves some wiggle room (a LOT of wiggle room). So how long can I expect to wait, it being a Holiday weekend and all, for my phones to actually arrive? Any guesses or personal experiences to share? Im in KY by the way.

Nice. Latest date I've seen yet for the 16 GB. Gives my 24th order hope.
 
Ordered mine June 18th @ 12:08am PDT, just changed to prepared for shipment tonight! Guess I better get a case!
 
Mine has now switched to Prepared For Shipment. 32GB. Ordered on the 16th.

Time to go hunting for a bumper!

Me too!!!

Just checked mine this morning and it seems my order has also prepared for shipment. I placed my order June 18 @ 5:18am for 1 32GB. Now I just hope I will see it by Friday 7/9.....
