Mine did in fact make it out of Alaska, without ever showing in transit, and it did end up going straight to Oakland. Out for delivery this morning! Yay!

so i ordered my boyfriend's phone this past sunday (july 5) from att and it's scheduled to deliver on monday. i ordered mine june 23 from apple and its supposed to get here on monday (according to apple) or wednesday (according to fedex).

Mine is stuck on International shipment release

For over a day now:

Jul 8, 2010 11:49 AM Int'l shipment release ANCHORAGE, AK

Supposed to have it delivered Tuesday. Why is this still stuck on shipemnt release. To me it looks like it passed customs and is ready to ship. I live in PA.
Any ideas? Should I worry?

Estimated still shows as the 13th by 4:30.

Up here at least, the cutoff time for "out for delivery" is right around 8:30 AM. After that, the local trucks are rolling, and any packages slip to the next day. But if yours has made it to the local site and isn't out for delivery, you might call them. In some cases, you may be able to arrange to pick it up. I read earlier that Apple may not be allowing it (or that FedEx might not), but certainly I've done it before with both FedEx and UPS.

Mine did the same thing. It never showed departure from AK, just the arrival at the next stop. Mine also said Tuesday (still does), but it's actually out for delivery this morning. There was a flurry of status changes on it between 3 and 8:30 AM today; it apparently took two flights during that period. So I wouldn't worry quite yet, you'll probably have it on Monday.

I just spoke with a very nice lady at Fedex and she said that your shipments will leave JP today and go to AK, then possibly (but most likely) Memphis, then to our local facility. Still scheduled on time. She also said that my package had a special code (IPD or something like that) that is special to Apple. SO she knew that it was an Apple delivery without me even saying anything. Interesting.....

so i'm selling my 3G to my neighbor's teenage daughter and need to know how to reset completely. also, do i take my sim card out or does she use mine? i have no idea how that works.... any help would be great. thanks!

mine did the same thing when they split my tracking info. it still shows on the first tracking info. does that make sense??

FedEx told me that's because they reprinted a label with a new ship date. It's all good.

Do you have the double tracking information like mine? For me the first one has all the details like estimated delivery date and weight but still has it in HK where the second one doesn't have that information but shows it vacationing in Japan.

Definitely take your sim out! Just plug it into iTunes and restore it and you're good to go.
