The whole process of getting my iPhone 4 has been painfully funny in a way. Its kind of a long story, but here it is
The way that I paid for my iPhone was by using some money that was due to me from a refund. I had set the funds up to be transferred to my bank back in May, but the refund didnt process until June 16th, which as we all know, was the day AFTER pre-orders started. By the time I was able to get my order in, it was showing a July 14th shipping date, so I was a little bummed out.
About a week after I did the online order, I was in the Apple store here in Oklahoma City and I asked one of the sales people there about reserving one at the store. I asked if it came in before my online order shipped, would I be able to cancel the online order and just get the one that came in at the retail store? I was told that yes, I could do this and it wouldnt be a problem.
Well, on the morning of July 3rd, I got an email from the Apple store telling me that my reserved iPhone had arrived and I had 24 hours to pick it up. I had just checked my online order the previous night, before I went to bed, and it hadnt prepared for shipment yet. I headed down to the Apple store ready to pick up my new iPhone.
I arrived at the store, told one of the sales people that I had gotten an email to pick up my iPhone and they found another rep to help me. He pulled up my reservation and had the phone brought out to him. There it was My brand new 32GB iPhone in its shiny new box. I was stoked!
I used the iMac we were standing by to log into my Apple account to cancel my order, and what did I see listed as the status of my order?
Prepared for Shipment Nooooo!!
I couldnt cancel the online order and so I had to just tell the sales rep that I couldnt go ahead and pick up the phone that day. I didnt have the money to pay for both phones and then just return one of them, and since I couldnt get my online order canceled I didnt have any other choice.
I walked out of the Apple store that day feeling lower than I had in a long freakin time.

haha. Well atleast its getting close! The wait will pay off. Mine is still in Hong Kong so it'll be awhile till it gets here in Tulsa.
Hold protector sticky side up in your palm. Spray the phone with one spray and the sticky side a couple of times. Line up the protector where you want it and use the squiggie to press out all the water. Wipe phone dry. Easy as pie.

Fedex Ground HomeDeliver doesn't deliver on mondays, instead it delivers on saturdays.
But iphones are express shipments so mo-fri deliver. your good.

My 16Gb ordered on 28th June for shipment by 19th July has just gone 'prepared for shipment' - sooner than I was expecting for a UK order. Quite excited now...
... and it's been shipped today via TNT, quoting delivery before Thursday 15th. That's come forward from the original estimate of the 21st. Not bad!

I wish I knew what is going on with my second iPhone because in the past all shipments have gone from China to Alaska and now this one is in Japan, SENNAN-SHI to be exact. And FedEx has two shipments on one tracking number... one is not getting updated and one is... anyone know what is going on?
Calling FedEx was useless... that special department is closed for the weekend... I work for the other US carrier that Apple is using... we do not close on weekends.

It got scanned twice. Follow your second tracking. Mine has gone from Lantau to sennan-shi and apparently it's in route to us from freaking unchain Korea now even though there is NO tracking info since 36 hours ago in JP.
Mine hasn't been updated in 36 hours either! Still says im in sennan-shi. I tried calling but like someone else said the international office is closed on the weekends. WTF!
Fellow UKers, is anyone in the same group as me? Currently in transit from Hong Kong (presumably to Arnhem). Will they keep shipping the items over the weekend, or will there be a pause in the movement until Monday? If they keep shipping, I'm hoping that it'll be out for delivery Monday or Tuesday, but that might be too hopeful.

How do you know it went from Japan to Korea? My tracking, on the second one as you suggested, shows it stuck in Japan.
I just woke up to find that my phone landed in Memphis! I would have rather it gone to Oakland because it'd at least be in the same state but oh well.
