It's not a customs issue. It's just put my into a bad mood, after something restored my daily light.
 
whats the latest date for "prepared to ship" or "shipped" that people ordered the phone? im a june 24 er and still "not yet shipped" :(
 
I also ordered on June 24th, and it's still not yet shipped, I bet ours will turn soon, sometime in the next week.
 
PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT!!!!!! omg finally...now if only the 2nd one i ordered for my brother would change too...crossing my fingers : )
 
I ordered mine on June 16th (Ships by July 14) and my order status says it's Prepared for Shipment. Hopefully it will be sent out by Tuesday. Any idea how long it will take to ship from China to the NYC area?
 
yeah still waiting on mine 32GB orderd june 21 I wont be surprise if it goes out Monday/Tuesday.
 
So for all of us getting the "prepared for shipment" notifications today - if we opted (as I did) for priority 2-3 day shipping shouldn't these go out Tuesday and be our way by Thursday-Friday?

They put these 'ship by dates' because this is when they expect to have enough product to send out.

Im not sure how it works, but does Apple make a certain amount of phones, and ships them in batches? For example, I'm sure they have had iP4s made and ready to ship for the July 14th date, but have been holding on and just sending them out in batches. Correct me on this please.

PS. Hopefully the white iP4 is closer to Middle July rather than 2nd half of July.*Fingers Crossed*

I remember seeing they were buying materials to produce 3 million a month, I'm sure they are shipping them via their own freight plane from china when it fills then distributing from alaska, that's why everyone's tracking goes from china to alaska then parts paths

there's no forth of july holiday in china where they are shipped from, and i'm willing to bet those sweatshops send out every day of the week.. they could be sent any day, and considering the time differance of them being about 14 hours ahead of us, local time it could go out as early as 4 or 5pm sunday, wouldn't get my hopes up though :D

anyone know how long it takes to go from "prepared for shipment" to actually shipping? just wondering from people who have gone through this a few days ago...
 
I noticed some time around 6PM PDT that mine changed to "Prepared for Shipment", despite ordering on the 22nd. Hopefully it ships soon :D

10:10 PM here on the east coast, my 16 GB which I ordered on the 22nd has switched to "Prepared for Shipment"

Did anyone else opt for the free standard shipping rather than 2 day or overnight? I hope it still arrives by Friday :(

Right here, my bumper shipped the 23rd and arrived the 30th, so you never know. Apple says standard shipping takes 1-4 days on their site.

I got free shipping also.. You never know how long it will take so there is a chance it will be quicker. Just be glad we are getting it earlier then if it shipped on 14th. Mine still hasn't changed to Prepared to Shipping but here is hoping it happens soon. :)

Mines just changed to Prepared for Shipment, ordered on June 21, 2010.
 
Mine has just been updated to "Prepared for shipment". I ordered the 32 gb on the 23rd at 7:25 pm. It would be sweet to get this on Thursday or Friday.
 
1 - 32GB Prepared for shipment sometime today, ordered 6/24 at 1:15 PM PDT. Wonder where it will ship from, domestic US, or out of China?
