Are those pretty decent screen protectors? I had a zagg invisibleshield on my 3G and liked it but this sounds like it's better for high resolution screens. Have you used this screen protector in the past?

Power Support for the previous iPhones were awesome screen protectors. My original iPhone has had the same one on it for almost 3 years (it has just finally started to show some minor signs of wear) and my husbands 3gs one was on it for almost a year and still looks great. Hopefully the ones for the iPhone 4 work as well, I'm not a big fan of most other screen protectors because you can usually feel that it has a screen protector on it, and with the power support ones it feels just like the actual glass.

I do love how they last! I'm a bit anal and ended up replacing it every few months but I really didn't need to. Also they are sooo easy to install and never get bubbles. When I first got my 3G, I bought a 3pk of screen protectors from AT&T for $10. Crap. Went through all 3 the first time because I kept getting bubbles. And unlike PS which are static cling, these were sticky so once you made a mistake or got a bubble, it was trash.

When my husband got the 3gs he bought a five pack of some brand that I don't remember from Best Buy and they were complete crap, they went in the garbage. At leas the PS ones are supposed to start shipping on July 26!

Well, I received my iPhone 4 today. Earlier in the thread I shared the tale of how it was an ordeal just to get this thing.

Now that the big day has arrived, I am sorry to report that I am not only able to replicate the signal dropping issue, but it appears my phone is affected by the proximity sensor problems that some have experienced.

And to top it off, there is what appears to be a black piece of plastic in between the back glass and the side antenna behind where the volume control buttons are. It's almost as if something didn't get trimmed properly and was protruding through when the back glass was fitted on.

<Sigh> I guess now I have to go through the trouble of actually trying to get this one exchanged. I could wait on the signal and proximity sensor issues to see if anything gets accomplished by the software update/use of a case, but the apparent manufacturing defect is enough that you can tell that one side of the phone is bulging out a little bit.

Very disappointed after all my anticipation, but hopefully Apple will make it right.

Finally my order is sent!

14 Jul 2010 06:57:39 Hong Kong Shipment In Transit.
14 Jul 2010 03:57:41 Hong Kong Shipment Received At Transit Point.
14 Jul 2010 03:08:00 SZ1 Shipment In Transit.
13 Jul 2010 23:34:06 Shenzhen Shipment In Transit.
13 Jul 2010 22:01:27 Shenzhen Shipment Collected From Sender.

How long does it take an order to get from HK to England? Apple says 19th or before, really hoping its 16th though!

Finally I have it! Scanned the door tag and my wife swung by the FedEx facility on the way home from work since the driver never made another attempt. the size is awesome and the screen is gorgeous. Unfortunately I can recreate the signal drop issue by covering the gap. I hold the phone in the right hand anyway so I just have to watch my ring finger. I will most likely get a case for it anyway. I love the look of a naked phone but I just get so nervous. Not sure about the proximity sensor issue as I am still restoring from backup. Needs to finish so I can play!!!

Mine has made it to Alaska. It has an estimated delivery date for the 15th in Orange County, CA. I'm wondering if I got a possible revised unit since it was prepared for shipment on the 2nd and changed back to "Not Yet Shipped" the next day. Got prepared for shipment again on the 8th and shipped on the 10th. I have my Incipio Feather case waiting for it. I finally got to see one today when I visited the boss. I did the death grip on it and got it to 1 bar from 5 bars. Not worried about it too much since I hold my phone normally or leave it in my pocket in the car for bluetooth. I must say that the screen is amazing. I can't wait to get it!

that's too bad. i hope you can get a replacement soon, if that's the route you take. i feel fortunate that mine works perfectly. i had some yellow spots when i got it yesterday but i believe they are all gone now that the phone ha had time to heat up. i tried to replicate the proximity sensor issue and can get it to mess up, but i really have to try hard. not too worried about it. and i have no issue with the antenna so far. i was planning on putting a case on the phone anyway. it should be here tomorrow or the next day.

Got mine Monday and fortunately no problems beside the antenna issue. I do lose bars if I completely cover the strip but I have not tried seeing what happens during a call. iPhone 4 is certainly one of the best phones ive ever had.

I received mine on Sunday and my yellow blotches are still there on the bottom. When the phone has not been on for a while, the spots go away, but with usage they become apparent. Have you noticed a similar thing? I just really want them to go away and then everything else is perfect!

I checked and my phone was made in the first week of July, so I really hope this is a case of them disappearing over time.

Does anyone know a resource intensive app to get this hot so I can hopefully get rid of these blotches!? :D

Mines been stuck in "At local FedEx facility" in Lantau Island HK for almost 24 hours!! Hurry up FedEx! Anyone else having this happen?

mine seem to be gone, but every now and then i think if i look at the screen for too long i swear i see spots!! :eek:it could just be because i can't put the thing down!!

i heard another guy actually use a hair dryer on his phone to test the proximity sensor issue but i bet that would heat up your phone to get rid of the residue!!

I ordered 2 on June 26th and both went to "Prepared for Shipment" on Saturday the 10th. Both have been stuck in HK for over 24 hours. What I find strange is that Apple finally charged me for the phones yesterday the 13th. The delivery date that FedEx is showing is the 16th, though I am not holding out much hope. One of these is my wife's birthday present, which is Saturday.

Watched pot

For grins and giggles I checked FedEx tracking site and my phones have touched down in Anchorage within the past 30 minutes. Wahoo! Let's see if they'll clear Customs and then make the connecting flight to Memphis tonight.

I ordered mine on the 11th with a guy from att telling me that they have heard of people getting them in 5-7 days from ordering point

My 32GB is out for delivery today. While my wife's 16GB is stuck in limbo somewhere between Anchorage and either Memphis or Indianapolis. If it doesn't show up, guess I'll be wrapping mine up and giving mine to her as the birthday present to unwrap.
