I was doing that, until my gf called me and I could barely hear her, then took it off and heard her perfectly.
 
NC delivery drama

Is there anyone else who lives in North Carolina and had a delivery date of July 15 and received their phone today? :eek:

Yeah, I have no idea...maybe there weren't any FedEx flights today to our local hub?? Where are you located? I'm in NC.

I don't know whats going on...I have spoken with alot of FedEx people and they don't seem to know what's going on either (I posted the whole story earlier). I am in Stokes County, along the VA border. My package has been in Greensboro since 6:25 PM yesterday sitting in "the can" on the ramp in Greensboro...hopefully tomorrow?
 
If yours is due on the 15th and there are a lot of others that are due on the 12th, 13th,14th don't expect an early delivery.

yea i know but its 50min away from my house. its been there for 25hrs, i just don't see why they couldn't have delivered it today?

Preorder through an AT&T store. They seemed to have the quickest moving list when I checked the mall by me.

Yeah, I can understand that, but if the phone has made it most of the way through the Fedex system, why hold it near the end of the journey? It's not like this batch of iPhones could possibly be the bulk of Fedex's deliveries in NC the next few days. Surely other stuff came to NC today (in fact I got another Fedex delivery today.) So, I still don't get it. Just making us wait, because they can?
 
Still no delivery. Can't wait 'til the driver updates the tracking info to "delivery attempted - customer not available or business closed." I'll be furious but there won't be a damn thing I can do about it.

Well mine landed in LAX (LA) last night at 7:38pm but still shows
(Jul 11, 2010 6:05 PM...Departed FedEx location...MEMPHIS, TN)

Mine is due on the 15th also

I did for th first hour til I got my first call then had to take it off.
 
Well I am glad to see that I am not the only one still sitting in Newark. I at least thought I would see it on a truck and heading down to VA today. I've given up hope on getting it early and honestly will be surprised if it gets to me on the estimated delivery date (which is tomorrow) at this point. As long as it gets here before the 23 and my vacation, I will be happy. Lesson learned for next time, order through AT&T or wait till mid August like I did for the 3G and walk right into the store and pick one up.
 
Mine came! Longest day ever, but I finally have it. It is like a million times faster than my old 3G. I can unlock it, open messages, select a name, select an image, type a message, send the picture message, and lock my phone all in the amount of time it took for my 3G to unlock and load messages. It's amazing that I put up with that.

Also, I tried that lower left corner signal loss thing and I couldn't get it to work. Did they fix them?

All we can do is wait wait wait.. How would have thought that this iPhone is going to be a top-seller? :eek::p
 
Mine arrived at around noon a day earlier than the ETA! Noticeable dropped bars, but no dropped or scratchy calls, so I'm happy!
