"Ramos, meanwhile, said he'd heard about social media posts that mocked the term "cyber pathogen," which is not generally used by tech experts. "When they do that," he said, "they're mocking the victims of this crime, of this horrible terrorist attack.""

Read the above quote in todays news. Great, while you make up stuff that has no real basis in order to scare people uneducated in technology into supporting your position, go ahead and label anyone who legitimately calls such behavior as yours out as unpatriotic to divert attention from your motives or lack of knowledge. No one calling you out is mocking the victims of SB. And really shame on you for insinuating anyone is. Seems more like Ramos is using the victims to me.
[doublepost=1457298992][/doublepost]I had also forgotten back in February this same DA asked Lady Gaga to sing at a Victim's memorial.

I came here to say the exact same thing. Literally, the exact same words. It warms my heart that I didn't have to go past the first page to find someone with a similar mind. :D

I'm surprised I managed to get in there with it, I thought it would be one of the first things.

You could always go for a reference to Scorpian (because as we all know planes carry a copy of the ATC software for DR:
)

A dormant cyber pathogen is really what the FBI wants Apple to create. Since they speak Newspeak it comes out a bit backwards to non-psychopathic people.

Orwell nailed it when he said their language "is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."

You mean like using the worst photo of Clinton and putting words in her mouth and motivations in her minds, is not also torturing truth in some way; do you understand the irony of what you just stated considering what you put there.

That's exactly what I thought when I read it. Is the FBI trying to make the case that the phone should never be tampered with? I mean, the only real way to ensure that a "dormant cyber pathogen" (huh?) never gets off this phone is to destroy it. Unlocking it in any way and gaining access to the contents would be the worst thing they could do. The pathogen might get out. Are they crazy?

I think they really need to re-think their strategy. This one has fail written all over it.

They should nuke it from orbit, that's the only way to make sure...
