As the XR’s camera system was designed, the photos of people really pop. The rest are just nice shots but don’t seem technically special.
______They look good, as expected since it's the XS system in 1 camera.
I think Apple really took a step forward in cameras this year. Clearly better than the X.
I wonder if an app like Halide would be able to fix this. Has anyone tried a 3rd party camera app for depth of field on objects? Some of those inanimate objects would look so much better if portrait mode worked for them.
I agree. I’ll be pretty upset if they don’t allow the wide-angle portrait on the XS.I'm looking forward to getting the iPhone XR's Low-Light Portrait mode on my iPhone XS...
Not gonna lie, I'm not impressed...Not gonna lie, these are impressive.
Those are my thoughts exactly... No color seems to be "popping" at all... and photos with my XS are amazing. Maybe it was just due to the overcast-ey conditions for a lot of them. I don't know.I’m a complete novice when it comes to photography, but I’m not exactly ‘moved’ by the colour, quality and/or richness of these photos. Everything looks a little flat and barely distinguishable from photos taken on my iPhone 6. The opposite is true of the XS photos I’ve seen online or had sent to me by friends - those are stunning and the detail is astonishing. Nevertheless, my XR arrives Monday.
Really wish folks would take the time to retouch their photos either in iOS, or with a 3rd party app like Snapseed. (It make a HUGE difference!)
The point for most people, imo, is not retouching. Those who want to, can.
