Originally I tried the Aluminum AW3. Returned it.

I liked the look and weight of the bright stainless better.

Since I did not buy it for the cell service specifically I’m still debating whether or not to activate it.

Thoughts?

I bought a SS series 3 and activated the cellular feature. Your given a free three month trial so why not use it to see if it works for you? You can always cancel at the end of the trial period.

I activated mine just to make sure it works. I won't be keeping the service once the 3 month trial period expires.

In the middle of several books.
If you don't activate it after a year then you aren't going to.
If a person didn't test it after purchase and then sold it on Ebay, Swappa or MR later on, a buyer would not be happy if the LTE didn't work.
[doublepost=1513885234][/doublepost]Activate the cellular and make use of the trial. Just remember that if you do disconnect, you will probably have a reconnect fee should you ever wish to have service again with the same carrier.

If you decide to activate your free trial, be sure you ask your carrier what date the trial ends on specifically, because they will not remind you and you will be charged accordingly.
While trials are great this is the number one problem with them (applies to almost all auto renew trials). Know upfront the steps you need to do and make a Reminder. Companies LIVE off of monthly procrastination. I'll get to it later since I have to figure it out.

I activated mine and will wait to see what my first bill looks like before I cancel. Verizon told me the cost would be about $12 more a month with tax and fees. We’ll see.

I am on Verizon as well. I will see what the bill looks like after my 3 free months. I can't see me turning it off over a few dollars extra. I really think the price will come down soon. I rather not pay an activation fee later on.

I just haven’t used the cellular feature enough to justify keeping it. I do appreciate leaving my phone at home for short errands. I’m not a runner and don’t have Apple Music. I wanted a SS watch so was forced in to it.

Having cellular capability on a watch is an extraordinary feature and its nice that you can get a 3 month trial to test it and so far I am in my second month of the free trial and used it maybe 8-10 times and out of the ten times maybe 1 or 2 was for actually using it for a reason when my phone was not with me. When my trial expires I will cancel it unless ATT offers a flat fee of $5 a month with NO extra fees then I will keep it but to pay anywhere from $12 -$17 a month for sharing the same number is just not worth it.

And u are a D&^%K head!!!

Easy. Move on.

I know what you meant. I just started my free trial today and we will see how often I will use it over the next couple of months.

It is obvious that cellular was designed for runners and people who are outdoors a lot and don’t want to carry their phone.

It’s useful anytime and anywhere phones aren’t welcome or your phone might get easily stolen. One time I had to hand over my phone when going to a golf tournament. I guess they were concerned with people taking photos with the phones. Having phone lost or stolen can be a big hassle, losing or having AW stolen is not as big of a hassle, and less likely to occur since you’re wearing AW. I was going to physical therapy for a while, everybody just leaves their phone in the cubby holes they provide. After doing your PT exercises it’s easy to forget your phone. Or it could fall out while your doing your exercises if you leave in your pocket. Summer time will be great for having the cellular on your AW. But with taxes etc. it’s like $15/month!

I don’t run or use the gym but cellular is great for when my phone battery is dead (I have a 6s and seldom carry a separate camera these days so my battery needs charging a lot). I’d love cellular to be an option when I’m on holiday and by the pool or in the beach but the fact that it only works when I’m here in the UK us a big limitation there.

I think this is a future many people THOUGHT they wanted but now realize it is not as useful or needed as much as they thought. Wonder is a year what the percentage of people who have and keep the service on will be? I bet it will be south of 50% and many all leave it on because it's only $10 and/or to much trouble to remove/procrastination.

You may be right, unless the carriers drop the price or bundle, which I think they will do. If Apple comes out with a new model that has EKG capabilities next year, that very well could change this scenario.
