Should Apple come out with an underwater iPhone?

I was thinking, that, the current camera is amazing, but wouldn't it be awesome if they came out with a water-proof iPhone? If you're snorkeling or something, you could take amazing pictures/video underwater!

No, but I think it would be great if they could come out with a more water *resistant* iPhone. This weekend someone knocked over a glass of water at a Mexican restaurant and fried my iPhone 4--at least the Guacamole was good!

They are not deliberately going to make an underwater phone.

Though if they do eventually get rid of the physical home button, volume buttons, dock connector (wireless sync only) then it will definitely be more water resistant.

Just the Mic/Speaker/Headphone holes left 😛

If you really want one i am sure someone somewhere can make your iPhone waterproof.

Interesting thought. A "rugged" iPhone would be neat but like others said it's too much of a niche market.

Picking up the case at http://www.lifeproof.com/ seems to be a good solution (one I might even consider.)
