Wasn't there an issue with some Wii's being in connect24 mode, where they would in some instances cause too much heat on the gpu and cause it to go screwey, causing artifacts and other display issues.

Yep, happened to mine, but after I got it back from Nintendo I still left it on and haven't had any further problems.

It's like with the 360, sure it's bad that a lot of them break. But because of that you get a free repair. A nice bit of reassurance on the consumer side of things!

Yup I experience this first hand....was quite pissed but Nintendo was good about it and now my wii is going strong(that dont sound right)

I think you should get the wii(you got it already I know but I have to throw it in there) There are couple of games worth checking out and its only an uphill road after the devs got out all of there PS2 porting fixes and start the original.

By the way...enjoy it

Bless

The only disappointment I have is the lack of good, realistic sports games for the Wii (aside from Madden of course). I'd like to see a real baseball game, NCAA 08, and a more polished FIFA and Tiger Woods.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii, but the 360 kills the Wii in the sports arena, imo.

I'm loving FIFA...the 08 Wii version challenges are much better than the 07 360 version. Haven't played the 360 version but the Wii version has been much nicer in the control area...they're not necessarily intuitive controls but are great when you really get into a game...you really slam that controller down trying to make a hard shot :D
