The iPhone 5 here in my country Pakistan is so expensive because there is noi official Apple store here so the prices are totally unofficial. I was wondering may be if i buy an iPhone 5 on contract with AT&T from Bestbuy.com and then ship it to my Bongous.com account and then they'll ship it to my original address. Is that a good idea?
The other thing is that if i buy a 2 years contract phone, will AT&T keep charging monthly fees from my credit card used to purchaser iPhone 5? That way it would only cost 199$ for iPhone 5 16 GB.

The problem with this scenario is that you would be locked into the 2 year contract or pay the ETF, the phone would be locked to AT&T and they will not unlock until you finish the contract or pay the ETF, and if something goes wrong with the device, the warranty is only good in the US.

Meaning AT&T won't charge the monthly fees from my credit card???? And about the unlocking, i will unlock the phone using third party unlock store. The thing is i don't want to pay the monthly fees to AT&T. I would rather unlock the phone as soon as i get the phone to my home.

So you are asking us if it's ok to take out a phone with a contract here in the US, and ship it out of the country, and then skip out on paying the monthly fee that you signed the contract to do?

It's quite simple. Take out the contract and then either pay the bill, or the EFT. Or you can buy an unlocked phone from the Apple store directly for full price.

Do not ask us how to help you skip out on paying your bills.

Att will not release unlock code if ETF isn't paid.

Sure u can try to get third party to unlock it. But if att finds out u don't pay your bill. They will blacklist the phone.

The issue isn't blacklisting since the phone will be out of the country. The issue is apple's servers. If you try to restore iPhone and att has a blacklist sent to apple servers. Apple servers will re lock the phone.

Honestly folks, I don't think we should be helping the OP figure out a way to basically steal an iPhone from AT&T and skip out without paying for it. I say let him try it on his own and see what happens.
