Interesting, it wasn't that a few days ago as I recall (and it seems some posts were made by the user in other sections earlier this week as well). I guess all of this wasn't really quite as important after all.

Just last year I got an immediate replacement for my iphone 6+ when it red screened on me. Like, I walk in, and in less than 10 mins I walked out with a replacement phone. I have AppleCare+ but I didn't have to use it because they considered it a phone defect. I've had family (last year) get instant replacements for defects.

I mean this is a HUGE reason why I buy iPhone - to get an INSTANT fix if something happens. I don't see this changing at all. While I was buying my 6s+ on May 7 2016, I watched several people get INSTANT replacements (they did have current gen models). They were surprised and happy (same experience I had last year). I call BS on this.

Funny @ Suspended. I don't get it. Do people derive pleasure from making companies look bad? I've had nothing but extremely positive experiences with all my Apple Store visits (dozens over the last 6-7 years).

Seems like some of their policies around it all have been changing at times: http://9to5mac.com/2015/10/26/apple-stores-off-site-repairs-16-gb-loaners/

How interesting. Maybe I'm lucky at my specific store? lol. Loaner phones are acceptable to me - still above industry standard but kinda sad to see. I guess my issues required a replace not a fix which is why maybe I had my experience / saw immediate replacements. Interesting.
I think every situation is different so it's hard to say what it's like in comparison to another, especially as some policies are changing, and as they might get applied differently in different stores, by different personnel, at different times, in relation to different issues.

I just got my iPhone 6s replaced Wednesday in store. My phone had been dying at about 30% battery left. I told them i did three restores total. One with a backup used, one setup new and one at the store.

They couldn't replicate the issue because I was a full charge, battery tested good so they said most likely a hardware issue.

I do not have apple care either, gave me a new phone on the spot, took me less than 10 minutes.

I would have been ticked to get a loaner, not because it was a loaner but because I live over an hour away from the only Apple Store.

I'm just glad I've always had excellent service from Apple.
