PS. Does your MBP take that long to startup, and does the white screen come down like it does on mine? I don't remember it doing that on my first MBP...

Yeah that's about how long mine takes and the white screen comes down like that, are you trying to find a reason to return it?

I'll second that , all those sounds are normal, take your MBP and a dvd to the Apple Store and do the same thing.
