Frankly, I don't see why anyone uses Android vs iPhone other than needing different carriers--it's crap.

If everyone used an iPhone it would be a very dull and boring world :p

Besides I like the media management capabilities of android. Was never and will never be a fan of itunes and media sync. It is great for backup only, but I want an option for manual drag and drop and folders for daily use. Also ability to play those mkv and avi files is a plus. I don;t have time to convert my 500gb+ library.

I am pretty sure some android users wonder why anyone uses iOS. lol. Different people, different needs.

Get one and tell us how it is. I saw the AT&T commerical for it (I live in Canada ) and the phone looked super nice.

Lol rogers is going to sell it at a super inflated price haha.

$549 outright. No thanks. Kijiji beats them again.

Although I would rather grab the one from Bell at $100 more.

I want a bigger screen though, and a better screen

You have already hit a stumbling block then I'm afraid. You can get a BIGGER screen, but I'm not sure you can get a BETTER screen.

The SGS2 has a bigger screen and is considered the ultimate android phone at the moment, however it has a lower resolution and pixel density than the retina display.

Something for you to consider.

I have an iPhone 4 now that I like, I'm just tired of it and the OS. I want something more customizable. I have an upgrade every year, and I'm not sure if I should wait for the iPhone 5... I mean, I can always switch back to the iPhone when iOS 5 comes out. I'm just not completely sure. I want a bigger screen though, and a better screen.
The one thing I'm scared of is that, in the year that I have the android, I won't get good service or updates for the device because so many android devices come out. There's only two iPhones. Is this a stupid worry, or not and do you think it will get gingerbread and other updates?

Thanks.

I would sell the iphone now while u can get good money for it, don't wait tilll later this year when the new model is announced and everyone is flooding ebay with their iphone 4s!

Disagree. I sold my iPhone 3GS on ebay after I had received my new iPhone 4. I sold it as a 'buy now' in 8 mins for £300. So going by that I could have probably asked £350 and sold it just as easily.

As a comparison, the SGS2 is only going for around £350 on ebay and its BRAND NEW!

iPhone holds its value better in my experience.

Besides the resolution the SGS2's screen beats the iPhone's in every way though. Personally for me it's Super Amoled Plus > Retina.

Yeah iPhones hold their value a lot better than all the other phones on the market.

Looking at the SGS2 I felt the screen looked big and punchy, however a side by side comparison made the 'punchy' super amoled screen looked over saturated, like someone had turned the contrast up too high so its production of reds and oranges looked really harsh.

I also noticed that when the screen had a white/cream background I could see what looked like a grid type surface which I concluded was coming from behind the screen.

In the end, for me at least, it didnt hold up against the retina display. As I pointed out in my comparison though, if you didnt have the chance to compare them side by side you may not ever even notice.

Well IMO, the Infuse is just too damn big. I think the Galaxy S2 with the 4.3" screen is as big as i want to go. Ive played with a Infuse and it is just huge compared to my Vibrant. The GS2 is slightly bigger than my Vibrant. I like bigger screens but not at the expense of a huge device. 4"-4.3" screen phones are MY limit.
