After watching a few reviews on the iPhone 8, I’ve kind-of ruled it out. It’s just such a tired design and the huge bezels and LED display just look old. The design language of new phones in the past year has been bezel-less and OLED. Even pop-up shops like the Essential Phone have this language. It’s ridiculous that Apple hasn’t done this across the board and I think they’re going to get slapped with really low sales of this iPhone 8. For those reasons I don’t want to give Apple one dollar for this device. My other option, then, is the iPhone X. The iPhone X is what I think all iPhones should now be. It’s caught up to the competition and gone a little bit above and beyond. But I have a tough time justifying the cost. $1,000 is a lofty price for a device this... small. I mean, you can get a MacBook for the price. I also have to keep in mind the possibility that I’ll be buying an expensive OLED iPad Pro to upgrade my Pro 9.7 in the spring. My third option is to keep my 6s until next year and hope for some less expensive edgeless models from Apple. I guess what I’m asking is, what is your guys’ justification for buying the iPhone X and secondly, do you think there will eventually be sales for the X?
