Kinda weird. I always had issues with the wifi from my 2010. My 2011 with SL has been updated to Lion and I haven't had one problem with wifi. Go figure.

Lion. No wi-fi problems

13 inch 2011 MBP. Came with SL. NO wifi problems. Upgraded to Lion and still no problems. Had the MBP since March.

there are always people that have some issues with hardware, no matter what you get. Try it out and see if it works fine for you. I do not have any issues with my mbp 2011 13". As for lion, you get it for free

i guess im in the minority when i actually wanted the snow leopard "version." From what i read, Apple doesn't include restore disks with the new lion boxes so im pretty stoked that i got a back up copy of Snow Leopard.

also the 2011 pros should have flawless wifi. according to anadtech, the 2011 are using new stronger chips.

this is from anand's macbook air review
"WiFi
Unlike other members of the 2011 Mac family, the MacBook Air retains a WLAN stack with 2 receive and 2 transmit antennas via the Broadcom BCM4322. The WLAN solution in the Air is capable of up to two simultaneous spatial streams, topping out at 270Mbps."

so im guessing the air uses older chips?
