Any of you out there carrying a white iPhone 5 guys? It just seems like its 99% women carrying them, that and Asians.

I think I'm going to get a white this time around, and I'm a guy. Past two phones have been black and just looking for a slight change. For what it's worth an African American male was in our office yesterday with a white Ipad. He was far from "girly," about 6'4" 230 lbs.

I see a TON of guys with white iPhone 5s.......but only when I visit San Francisco :D

Cuz we all know "girly" is referring to height and weight  Also, how do you know this guy's exact height and weight?

Dammit... I'm Asian and I had white 4S... but it's cause I wanted a change. I went to black 5 cause the full body black is damn sexy. Not a fan of the silver/white back.

I still have a white iPad 3.

Okay let's just say he looked like an NFL player that could kick some a**. I don't know his exact height and weight, just guessing. He was very masculine.

I'm 5'7 and 215 lbs of muscle (and fat cause I'm a nerd still). Definitely not one of those skinny emo looking asians though.

How do you know it wasn't his wife/girlfriends white ipad?

I have a white iPhone. Returned my black and got white last weekend. My 4s was black so I wanted some change, felt like I was using the same old phone, just longer. Im Asian btw :p

Still talking about phones here, right? Just checking... I guess if someone just jumped in here and read some of these posts it would be a bit awkward. :)

Where are the white iPhones at?

Exactly--get back to the point, everyone

Where are the white iPhones at?

Best Buy had a couple yesterday when I called (Dallas area). Sold one of them in about 30 minutes after I called and the other one about an hour after that. I missed out as I have to use my wife's upgrade (she doesn't care about upgrading from the 4).

Ah...this question makes Waloshin's threads seem intellectually challenging!

Am I the only one that chose white for the function of having it hide almost every finger print and hides scuffs better than the black one?

Well I guess the mirrored edge is awesome too.

Nope, you're absolutely right there. Every dust/lint particle is highlighted on the black phone. However, white will also show dirt and discoloration more easily on the flip side. Pick your poison.

Overall, I would say the white phone will look cleaner than the black phone the majority of the time. Think of a white car vs black car.

When I brought my black iPhone 5 in my local Apple store, I asked about switching to the white. I was told they would switch only to the same exact one. I asked about repeatedly exchanging because of scuffs. They ended up handling my black scuffed one as a return and gave me a white one. Very good Apple customer service!

Paulsan, bud. You're wrong. I was shipped 2 black 64 gb iphones within a week after mine came with scratches. I had to refuse one because they sent me 2 instead of 1. I ended up returning my second black for a white one at the store (I had to preorder that with personal pickup, like anyone else), but the original replacement phones were shipped immediately from the US. Apple would not replace my black phone with a white one, only identical product.

Fun fact: replacement iphone 5's are not shipped in retail boxes, you only get the phone. Now you know. Stop being a rectum.

The OP wants to exchange her iPhone because she doesn't like her color choice. She claims she can do that.

I am amazed that people can't understand how selfish it is to exchange a perfectly good iPhone simply because they couldn't decide on the color they wanted. Others wait for their iPhones to ship while the selfish feel entitled to instant gratification based on what? Indecision. And their argument is that the replacement iPhone came out of a different stock than the ones that are being shipped to waiting customers so there is nothing wrong with doing so.

Scratches on an out-of-the-box iPhone are one thing, being a twit when you pick a color is a whole other thing. Don't be a rectum. Or a twit.

I'm not sure what difference the type of box it comes in makes. It's still a new iPhone that somebody that's waiting won't get.

Do you want a ladder to help you down from that soap box?

TBH, I'd happily exchange my phone as many times as possible to satisfy myself. Couldn't give a toss about anyone else, and i bet most on here would do the same.

They are even bigger "twits" if they exchange it because of getting scared after reading other people post their problems on the forum.

Really making the extra effort to be a decent human being, aren't we?

We're talking about phone here, not jumping the queue for a Kidney transplant.

I really don't think I'd go to hell for changing my mind about what phone colour I wanted.

I'm a Caucasian male, 41 years old, married 15 years with a seven year old son. I switched to white with the 4s. Not on purpose. It's the only color they had in 64gb capacity @ the time. I really, REALLY liked it. As did my wife who'd only owned the black models til that point. I bought the white 5. Couldn't be happier. I like the black as well. It's a sharp design, bit I definitely prefer white--so I suppose I'm in the 1%'ers:)

My iPads have all been black though
