What advice would you guys give someone who recently bought a 2015 MBA and still within the return period? I bought one for "family" use. I was able to get it for $908 at BB via discount out the door. Is the extra $355 cash via the 10% discount worth returning the MBA 13.3" and getting the MBR? I actually have not even opened it yet.

The only problem i have is the MBR is actually MORE expensive than the 2015 MBPR 13.3" base model at Best Buy as its currently on sale for $1234. Obviously heavier, but this machine will be used 95% at home. And this whole delay on the MBR isn't helping the cause lol.

I still find the 2015 MBPR a pretty slim machine for its power.
The 13" rMBP sounds like the perfect computer for you. You'll love the screen resolution.
I bought a used 2014 13" Air to have as a traveling or vacation machine but I couldn't stand the screen so I sold it after having it for only two days.
No way I am going back to a TN panel after having a 13" rMBP.

But then the Macbook's not for me anyway - way too girly.

Only the new Macbook is girly? To me all Macbooks are girly looking but who cares? I bought one because of the aluminum body and because I like OSX.

someone switched from a MBA 2013 1,3 8GB to the new rMB?

some ppl got their new MB already and maybe someone switched?

The MacBook had enough power for my use: Office 85% and Pictures 10%, light photoshop and very light iMovie/Premiere 5% - but i want the new Screen ;)

Just wanna know if the new rMB is nearly as powerful as the MBA 2013

Do i need the 1.2? Or can the base 1.1 handle it?
