I am OCD about dust and fingerprints.

And I know that a small scratch on my screen, front and center, would make me very sad...I would see it every time.

I just got a Zagg glass screen. Very clear and all. But now I'm staring at the outline of the screen protector.

So what did I gain? I got the SP to distract me now. And who am I saving the naked screen for? The next buyer?

Still undecided, given the fact that I've never scratched a screen, and have owned all iPhone from the 3G onwards. But my daughter has. My main damage has been the metal sides, and a good case protects that.

I do have AppleCare +. So $79 to replace the phone vs $42 + $10 to replace the Zagg (initial cost plus replacement at the kiosk). ???

I have always used screen protectors on my cell phones with touch screens. Having said that, thus far I have never scratched or damaged the screen protectors so one could make the case that they weren't needed, but I just feel better using them. My current protector is tempered glass for the first time and I love the feel of it.

The iPhone 6 plus is the first time I have used a glass screen protector although I have always been using a screen protector for my previous smartphones (iPhone 4 onward). I like the extra security it brings. I know "micro scratches" are not a big deal but it still bothered me when I happen to be in the specific lighting condition to see them.

On my previous phone I strongly believe that the plastic screen protector saved the screen. I dropped the pointy end of calipers directly on the phone and it pierced through the plastic screen protector but left the phone undamaged. I'm hoping the glass screen protectors provide the same level of protection. Only time will tell.

After 2 days, the look of the Zagg glass screen protector just bothered me too much. Hated the under filled outline and the visible edge.

Took it off. $42 experiment.

I guess my own personal statistics are in my favor. I have never scratched a screen or even the softer films, when I used them. And that is over 6. Heads of iPhones. So why bother with a SP?

Each person has their own stats.

In seven months I'll be switching it out for the 6S anyways under ATT Next.

Anyone know if the mall kiosk will take it back?

The edge of the glass is noticeable, i'll give you that, but it hasn't bothered me. I love the look of it - for me its an upgrade over the ghost armor I had on it.

Bummers on it not working out for you.

How difficult was it to remove, and did it break when you peeled it off? To put it another way, I'm curious to know how well its adhered to the phone.

Yes, it would be an upgrade from the Ghost Armor. The self healing films are spongy, which makes them self healing.

Easy to remove, but using tape wouldn't remove it. I got my finger nail under one edge, and applied slow pressure. It slowly lifted itself off. Didn't break.

I don't really see the advatange of a glass protector over a quality film.

Thicker, usually requires adhesive, etc.

A quality film impacts the usage of the phone in zero way; no orange peel, no rainbow effect, crystal clear, no adhesive, feels just like the glass, and at least until the iPhone 6, completely undetectable it was even there.

So what's really the benefit of a bulky glass protector over a quality film installed perfectly?
