Should MacBook Pros come in "black" and "white"?

+1. Have you seen those Dell ads on TV where people click different plastic covers onto their Dell laptops to make it "reflect their personalities"?

What's wrong with them? As much as dell are criticised for thier poor build quality, at least they try with thier designs IMO

No, they shouldn't pick a range of colours and mass produce them. Instead they should have a standard MBP colour (as they do now), and offer some kind of customisation (most likely third-party). I admit, prior to about 2008, I wasn't an Apple consumer. But from what I recall, wasn't there once an option of customising MBPs? Can anyone offer any websites that would do so?

There was the PowerBook 1400 that had a clear plastic panel on the back of the lid you could customize. Today, colorware will give your MacBook pro an auto type paint job for about 500 I think.

I understand why they don't, but I would definitely prefer black over silver.
