Right now I have Safari and Mail open and as you can see in the screen shot the VM Memory is over 122 GIG! Any ideas?

So is VM just the amount of virtual ram that COULD be used if needed?

I remember when I used Windows that virtual memory and swap file were usually considered the same thing, on Mac OS X...not so much.
