Relax, buddy. The only person on their high horse is the one who feel he's psychic and knows what the next iPad will have, and what it will do to resale values. So, get off yours.

Being the math genius you are, I'm sure you're a great iOS developer, too. Show me some code that shows it's a RAM problem, and I'll start taking you seriously.

On the other hand, common sense would indicate that even a desktop browser shouldn't have trouble sticking to a gigabyte of RAM. And oh, look, it doesn't have a problem with that...

The problem is not RAM, pal.

Congrats, you managed to take a screen cap of a just started instance of safari. Why don't you use it a bit and then take a pic of the memory usage, then realize the iPad does not swap to "disk" for extra RAM, like PCs do.

Bad memory leaks, huge content rich internet pages, and low RAM = a bad user experience when safari crashes(hopefully fixed in 7.1), and tabs reload constantly.

I tried responded to this post three separate times ...
- twice it reloaded THIS tab when I tried investigating a quote about the iPAD being the best internet consumption device in the world. My iPad had only safari running, and with only 2 tabs.
- third time safari just crashed.

And tell me again that RAM isn't an issue, with a laundry list of low memory entries in the logs. Enjoy your Air, I'll be selling mine as soon as the Air 2/next iteration(sad that I have to explicitly spell that out for you), with 2 Gigs of RAM is released.

Enjoy your reloads, pal.

Congrats, you managed to take a screen cap of a just started instance of safari.

Actually, it's been running for the better part of a day.

Bad memory leaks,

are the problem on iOS7. Not lack of RAM.

Enjoy your Air, I'll be selling mine as soon as the Air 2/next iteration(sad that I have to explicitly spell that out for you),

You only have to spell it out because it's been pointed out to you that counting on vaporware to solve your problems, much less naming it, is kinda silly.

with 2 Gigs of RAM is released.

It's sad that I have to spell out to you - again - that we don't know what the next Air's specs are gonna be.

Anyway, you do that, and I'll save my money and enjoy better performance when iOS 7.1 comes out.

Uh...I can't speak for anybody else, but the RAM does not bother me. My iPad Air had given me no problems whatsoever. It runs wonderfully. So...I don't see the big deal. RAM is not an issue for me. This thing loads faster than my laptop.

You mean like if I'd ordered it and it turned out to be defective or such? I guess that's true. Better to be disappointed than out of nearly $500.

Or you ordered it and they never delivered. That is the deal risk with things that sound too good to be true.

Sorry pal, bend over backwards as much as you want, it doesn't make the ram deficiency go away one iota.

But on the flip side, just cause you can prove there is a RAM deficiency for what you do, as a tech savvy user, just because perhaps as much as 20% of users can prove it, doesn't equal Apple putting in more RAM.
