I saw the case I want.

I really like that case! I'd rather it be black or dark brown, however.

My main purpose for the iPad is something to carry around for a calendar, appointments, a to-do list and email. I need my case to be functional (i.e. a place for business cards and a few sheets of important paper.

I'm not looking for something 'sexy', but rather something 'functional'. I seem to be in the minority here.

I agree with this post but have not found just the right product

I am looking at a silicon skin to provide some basic protection and slip resistance - posters elsewhere have suggested that the bare ipad is slippery - I live in oz and have preordered but won't have mine till the 28th - and I am also interested in a leather zippered compendium something like http://www.leatherandluggage.com.au/shop/detail/Samsonite-Leather-A4-zip-compendium-SCM162-BLACK/

but without the zip so that it can't scratch the screen. I am not interested in a case that holds the ipad at an angle. I have ordered a http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.37195 to solve this problem

I would appreciate any suggestions as to an alternate zippered compendium - preferably with a soft left hand side to provide the scratch protection

My switcheasy nude in ultraclear arrived the other day, and today I made a sleeve for the iPad for when I carry it in my messenger bag. Now all I need is the iPad :) (waits patiently for order to ship)

My case has finally arrived. I've not seen any info on it, just an ebay auction I found.

It's called a KinjiKraft felt sleeve for iPad. It's made of grey felt and leather with a nice button for keeping the iPad in place. It's very much like the Hard Graft cases, but at a fraction of the cost!.

These are almost a direct copy of the Hard Graft (www.hardgraft.com) cases, which seem to be much nicer designed and crafted.. I have three for my iPhone, MBP and iPad, and they stay nice. I have had the MBP sleeve for three years and it's literally still as new.

edit: sorry, you said it was like the hard graft case..

Going to sport this ebay, $10 shipped, TPU case until there are even more choices for me to choose from later on. Anyone try a tpu inside another folio? I'm using this in a belkin vue netbook sleeve I picked up for $17 shipped.

Have this exact TPU case ^^ and used used it with my InCase convertible folio. It was a tight fit - not easy to get and out - but perfectly functional once in the folio. In fact, it resoved of the issues that many people have with the incase - that the iPad doesn't stay in place ( & aligned with the holes). I sold my incase but have another one on order (long story). My intention is to use the iPad with the TPU at home and put it in the folio when I am out & about.

The my clear TPU case came in yesterday from my ebay usa seller. I like the smoke better over all. The clear looks better if you are looking at it from behind. My only problem with new case is that the mail man stuck it in the mailbox bent with 98 degree's texas heat and now I have these two bends half way down the case. I'm trying to figure out how to get the case back to normal or I'm shipping it back and will just stick with my smoke.

2nd note: I ordered the DMS folio leather case from Amazon and will let everyone know how it fits with the TPU.

This is a case I had made at work by the girls in the textiles class, combat blue felt lining and denim outer cover.

ebay link? I tried searching on ebay but can't seem to find it :(

Apple denotes the clear Belkin Grip Vue as discontinued on their store site.

I checked Belkin's site and they only show the Grip Vue in purple and blue.

Anyone know what's up with this?

I think that looks awful

It's like back in the 90's, and it screams "I have something expensive in here, mug me"

Any nice leather case is going to look like you're carrying something expensive. I carry a leather briefcase often, so what's your point? I'm not going to carry a crapped-up nylon backpack into a business meeting, sorry. But I'm also not walking down the street in Queens or Brooklyn, either. Guess it all depends on where you live/work.

I see no thought process gone into it, just leather with a pocket and zip, plus it is just so ugly...

For the record, I work in a Law Firm in the City and I just can't imagine pulling out this out of the bag (Leather Flight bag by Ted Baker lol), i would be embarrassed how ugly it is. The texture and the colour of the leather is just awful.
