Yesterday I looked online to see if my nearest Apple store had a series 10 in stock and the website showed that they did — I high-tailed it to the store after work and I was able to do a walk-in yesterday and was able to snag a Series 10 GPS 46mm Jet Black Aluminum on drop day. Got super lucky that my nearest Apple Store had it in stock. So far, I'm loving it. Got the Nike Sport Band in Volt splash and I'm obsessed with this color combo. The volt splash I feel like really makes that Jet black pop out. It's aesthetically pleasing my inner graphic designer side 😆 I was eyeing on the Plum sport loop as purple is my favorite color and it would look great with the black, but I opted out of that for now.
I like this band! It makes me think of a margarita…lime juice and salt, big grains of salt

Picked up an AW X Jet Black in 46mm today. Tossed on the Cactus Sport Band to see how it looks:

I love that! it does!! 😆 I just love this color combo because I feel like this color combo is going to help me stay motivated to go work out. I also purposely got it for when I'm out and about and it's dark out and felt like the volt splash color could help people see me in the dark. I don't go out running or walking at night — and even if I do, I'll always carry or wear a light of some kind! 😉 But also it's just such a fun color.

I got my iPad Pro Refurb as well as the watch. Just using that as an example. Very happy with both.
Nice, is it the previous M3/M2 model? A lot of my colleagues use either a M4 model or get the iPad Air or 10th generation regular model if they want to ditch the MacBook or laptop 💻 for their own use. Still a splendid choice, man!
Yes I did LOL
😂 I knew it was a nomad band! Lots of Apple Watch Ultra users wear these bands when going for high-quality third party bands. They sell premium iPhone cases and cables as well, a great brand for many years.

But yet today I still wanted to wear the SSG 9 with Khaki Sport Band

Lots of nice green Sport bands y’all. Even repping the green bands used in the green aluminum Apple Watch Series 7 is pretty cool with darker Apple Watches. ⌚️

Black Titanium AWU2 with the Ice Blue ocean band ..... a really cool contrast with a lighter band. Black titanium also is more of a very dark gray than black.

Here's my Apple Watch S10 46mm, Jet Black w/ Lake Green Sport band.

I'm upgrading from a Series 7 after a lot of fence-sitting on whether it was worth it. The Series 7 had 81% battery health after 3-years so I figured now was as good a time as any.

Impressions so far:

I like the design. The screen is only marginally bigger, but you can tell when side-by-side with the 7.

I also like the Jet Black finish. It's very classy and gives a premium feel, without having the higher price tag attached. We'll see how it holds up over time though. I'm aware that the similar finish on the iPhone 7 didn't age too well!

The case dimensions are a step up for me. This years Apple Watch feels like a 'squashed' or 'flattened' Series 7/8/9. It's noticeably thinner but some of that thinness has come at the expense of wider bezels. On the Jet Black though, the bezels just blend in with the rest of the watch case, so it's not a big deal.

When side-by-side with the Series 7, it makes the Series 7 look 'boxy' in comparison (for want of a better term). The Series 7 sits more flush with your wrist which is nice.

I think the speaker is impressive for what it is. I won't be listening to full albums back to back on it, but it's not as tinny as I imagined it would be. Good as an occasional backup speaker for when the AirPods aren't to hand.

I love the double tap gesture. Not a S10 exclusive I know, but definitely a standout of the cumulative updates between the 7 and 10. I can see this becoming a deal breaker feature for me on any future watch purchase - I think it's a big quality of life improvement.

The higher refresh rate on the always on display is great. I like how I can see the second hands ticking away now at all times - definitely gives it traditional watch vibes.

I haven't tested on-device Siri but hopefully it'll come in handy when I'm setting timers whilst cooking.

I’m really liking your review, and your band selection. I’m still wondering if it is a worthy update to this (my green S7 alu)

New Jet Black S10 in 46 mm. Here paired with a pink sport band.

I know my wrists are thin but came from an ultra and the new 42 mm felt cramped. View attachment 2424996View attachment 2424997

I think we have similar sized wrists and it looks totally fine! I probably won’t go to an Ultra, personally but 46mm on this watch seems to be just fine!

Looking great with that pink band. Is it the one from 2015?

Can I ask what you use the double tap for? I keep forgetting it exists and would love a good use case!

So far it's not a night and day difference but it takes what I already liked about my S7 and adds enough new nice-to-haves that it's worthwhile for me. I think if my S7 didn't have a degrading battery I'd have held on a little longer, but I'm happy I made the jump regardless.

It's early days so far, but at the moment, I'm really liking being able to summon the Smart Stack. I have a widget pinned to the top with three of my main complications (see screenshot), and it's nice to be able to summon that quickly. It's worth pointing out that I like simple watch faces with minimal complications.

I'm also liking the fact that I can dismiss notifications, and imagine it'll be really handy when I have my hands full.

My black Series 10 alongside my older Series 5 Watch. Still a fan of black, still prefer Nike sport bands (both for exercising and because I sweat so easily). Am also not ready to consign my S5 to the drawer just yet. Any ideas for an older Apple Watch that no longer receives software updates? 😬

Still using the same watch as well. The new bands are nice, but I wish Apple also offered a “clean” version that didn’t have the other specs of rubber mixed in.😛

watchOS 10 and 11 are similar to what they are like. The newer update besides the new faces from the S10, only has additional health features like Vitals and Training Load, yet the iPhone that is paired with both of your Apple Watch Series 5 and the S10 can still give out vitals data from both of them. Why not use your Apple Watch Series 5 to sleep track, and then switch to the new one for the day?

Your Apple Watch Series 5 still seems flawless. You can put it in Tinypod or rig it up in a power bank case like @erihp did with his Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) if you still believe that the battery life is good.

Thanks - and good observation. The box says 42 mm, so I believe it is the one from 2015 and much more of a red / dark pink. I have tons of bands for the smaller watch, which I was looking forward using again, but the smaller size just didn’t feel like the right match.

Thank you.

I don't really have a habit of wearing my watch to sleep. Its battery health is at 76% (though I had its battery replaced earlier last year, something is wearing it down very fast), but otherwise, it's still in pretty good condition. Maybe I will consider that.

The tiny pod looks intriguing but it's not out for sale yet, how it works looks suspect, and I would rather wait for teardown and reviews first.

I wish the larger rectangle watch faces at least gave an option for maybe a couple complications on the bottom - just nudge the screen up a little - without shrinking to a small circle. I want a larger background but don’t want to pay the price of almost zero complications. I might try the double tap if I can lock a couple of weather complications to the top of the smart stack

Loving this combo! I wanted in a way to pay homage to an old Swatch called Sir Swatch, but with a more modern touch. More subdued colours with Cactus and Camellia sport bands, and the watch face by modern artist GeoffMcFetridge

I had to tap a lot on the watch face to get this combo haha. I wish I could save it as my fixed colours for the dial.
