Decided I wanted a 42mm SS with blue leather band. Went and got it and now here are some pics. Gave my 42 BSB to my son, who now thinks he is the cats meow.

Good choices.

Your pics make me want to put my blue leather loop back on my SS watch and admire it some more, but I'm just back from the gym and have the green sport band on.

I caved and bought an extra strap - the link bracelet - yesterday. Regent Street had one in stock, and I just couldn't resist.

What do you guys think?

I think it's beautiful, and a stunning bit of engineering, but at nearly £400 (600 bucks!!!) my wallet's hurting real bad! :p

I think now that customers can take them home the same day there will be many "damn it, I simply must have this, now that I've held it" purchases at the Apple Store, just as with previous products. :p Enjoy your link bracelet. I love mine and also love that buying it later meant it came with its own special box for when I'm wearing my other bands.

As shown, below, I store the extra links in the box too.

IMO this just shows how much better the SS looks.

Thanks, the ability to easily change straps to fit your mood or situation, is a huge plus for this product, you can go from workout(rubber strap) to a fairly nice luxury piece(leather band), to a very masculine sports watch(metal link).

Here is my Space Grey Sport watch, that originally came with a black strap, to a fun blue strap version.

That looks absolutely gorgeous! I really do like the look of the stainless watch, but it's not something I could wear - I don't really wear jewellery so like the subtlety of the BSB and it would drive me crazy as I know I would be constantly polishing out any slightest scratch :)

Up to two straps now for my 42mm SS, the original BSB and a Milanese loop which arrived a couple of days ago. Looking longingly at a black leather one now.

I really love the sport bands. I mentally told myself I would never have colored bands, but they are actually my favorite. I have white, blue, and green....I wear them more than any of my others (SS link, leather, and milanese)
