That is a sharp combo! I was planning on getting the midnight blue sport strap, but now I may need to get the (PRODUCT) red sport band as well.

I was deliberating between Midnight Blue, Product Red and Orange but chose the red in the end as I just loved the look of it in the store. It is really nice: it's not quite a 'KitKat wrapper red' (strange analogy, but one is right next to me so basing it off that :p ) which could've been a bit bright and has hints of orange under certain lights.

My wife has the 38 Rose Gold & Lavender Sport (very nice combo!) . One thing I quickly noticed is that the digital heart beat and drawings were all messed up when we tried to send them to each other. After some research I discovered its due to the fact that we both share the same apple id and iCloud account. We've had it setup that way for years (i.e. back to mobile me days). Back then, it kind of made sense to share an Apple Account since there was no way to share app, music and other iTunes purchases between accounts. We just never got around to "unwinding" this as Apple added more sharing features with iCloud.

Long story short(er).....Today, I setup my own Apple Account to use for iCloud on my 15 MBPR, iPad and iPhone. My wife has the old apple/icloud account to use on her iPad and iPhone. Still haven't figured out which iCloud account to use for the 27 iMac (shared by both of us really). Anyway, this straightened out the issue with the Apple Watches (i.e. digital heartbeat/drawings sharing)....plus makes it easier for me to manage a single iCloud account on the devices that are exclusively mine. I haven't seen any real downside to the split yet other than having to purchase iCloud storage for both accounts (but Apple has made this really cheap....so not really an issue).

I still need to look into turning on Home share. I'm not sure we need it since we use the same account for iTunes purchases. Maybe for photo sharing? I'll have to research a bit more on this.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else had this issue with multiple Apple Watches tied to the same iCloud account.

Although I do wear my other bands, I often find myself coming back to this setup. It's such a great bracelet.

So how would you compare the LB to your other bands in terms of comfort and day to day wearability? Does it build up heat/sweat more or less than the SB or LL? Is the lack of ability to make mid-day minor adjustments an issue? Does it slide around on your arm?

Asking because I have the SB and LL (usually wear the LL), but I've been longing for the LB since Day 1. It is so perfectly matched to the SS watch and looks like a million bucks. I think it will be my xmas gift. But the LL is easy to adjust and that is one issue holding me back a bit.

I can't speak much about the leather loop, because mine is a generic version that I haven't worn much (I have a 38mm watch, so no official leather loop is available,) but the ability to adjust it incrementally is a great feature.

I've worn metal bracelets from Rolex and the like for a while, so I'm used to the relatively unadjustable nature of a metal bracelet. I wear them just tight enough to sit up above the wrist bone when I'm cold, and then, when my wrist swells, it gets tight, but not uncomfortable. There isn't a way to micro adjust the link bracelet, but the removable links themselves are pretty small, so getting a good fit isn't too hard. It's also good to experiment with how many adjustable links are on each side of the clasp, as that can adjust fit slightly.

As it stands now, I usually wear the link bracelet in day to day life. The bracelet doesn't get quite as sticky as the Sport band, but it is noticeably heavier and less adjustable, so I'd say they each have advantages. Based purely on comfort, while the link bracelet is fine to me, I'd have to give it to the Sport band (and likely most leather straps, too.)

I think it's good to have both, depending on the situation. If I know I'm going to do something a bit more athletic, I usually switch to the Sport band. For me, the link bracelet is the more durable, slightly less comfortable, slightly better looking choice.

I just this week picked up the 42mm Sport Gold/Midnight Blue combo. Love it! I find it perfect for business casual dress and dinner out. It add's that extra touch so that you don't feel like you're wearing your sports watch.

I'd like to also pick up one of the sports bands to go with this watch that would look great for workouts (running/gym) and for those totally casual days (i.e. shorts/t-shirt) when you're just "running around". Hoping to get some suggestions from those who own the Gold! I'm sure the gold is a bit more limiting than the aluminum or space gray...but I'm sure there are a couple of bands that match up quite well.

Thanks in advance!

where did you get that green case??!?!

I bought the green case from the Apple Store last year when I got my iPhone 6. It was a silicone case made by Apple and was out with the iPhone 6. Once the iPhone 6S came out it seems they discontinued selling the green case. I bought the green band because since the green phone case was discontinued there was rumors that the green watch band was also being discontinued. They did stop selling the Apple Watch Sport with the green band and replaced with the orange band.

How do you get different watch faces like that?

Stopped by an Apple Store thinking I might get the dark blue sport band and the matching silicone case for my 6S, went on a completely different route and ended up grabbing the orange. It looks so good in person! Now I've got my work and play combos matched. View attachment 590650View attachment 590651

Those combos look great!

Hi
I'm new on here and am thinking of getting the larger watch in Rose Gold but don't think I like the stone strap, I love the look of the gold and blue strap one but specifically want the RG to match my new phone!!!! Can you tell me if the dark blue strap looks as good as the gold and blue one, or if the original strap you get with the smaller watch looks best??? Or do you have another favourite???
Sorry for the list of questions, yours looks so so pretty so I'm now really torn as to what extra strap to get???

Here is the Rose Gold 38 with the midnight blue strap. I haven't mastered taking photos of the watch yet.

Silver sport with my new lavender sport band :)
A very nice, clean look! My wife has the rose gold/lavender combination. I think Apple nailed it with the new lavender color.

Here is a picture of the 38mm Rose Gold/Lavender my wife got. She's actually considering taking it back for the Silver Sport/Lavender. As nice as the Rose Gold looks, she thinks it's a bit limiting (i.e. bands, etc...)

To quite ready to show off but getting the SS 42mm Brown leather classic buckle on Tuesday.

I sold my white sport for 300 and was able to apply my Best Buy 10% movers coupon. And got a stainless steel watch. I love how it looks with my midnight blue band.

The only band that I have (had) that clashed terribly with the rose gold was the lime green. The orange would probably not do it too much justice as well. However I like the Rose gold on my other sports bands: black, white, torquise, blue, red, lavender (of course) and midnight blue. You can see I'm very fickle.

Thanks for the information and recommendations on other color options. I'll pass this along to my wife.

Anyone tell me how I change setting from km to miles?

Go to the Workouts app. Select a workout, and swipe to the screen that shows distance. Force tap (tap and hold until you feel taptic feedback), and you'll see the following screen: Tap MI or KM, according to the unit you want to use.
