I decided to go for the 42mm Gold/Midnight Blue Sports model. I love the new color combination. However, the gold base will take some getting used to (i.e. all of my other "mechanical" watches have been Stainless Steel"). I think I just need to give it a few days to sink in.

So the sports models come with the S/M & M/L band options. My wrist size is just a bit over 8 inches (8 1/8). I'm on the very last "hole" and it's just a bit "snug" (not tight, but snug). I bought it at the Apple Store and they said to give it a try and if it's too tight, they would replace (for free) the band with the L/XL strap (i.e. which goes up to a 245mm wrist size)......would be perfect for me. I think I'll stop by and have them order the L/XL.

Maybe the AW 2 will come in a 44mm option (i.e. for us guy's with big wrists).

damn, the new gold/midnight blue combo really looks sleek. Dunno what it is, but it looks so much more "premium" then the silver/black. But thats a personal preference i guess.

I posted this on the ladies thread but thought I would throw it up here too. Last week I got a 38 mm rose gold apple watch sport. Love it. My wrists are tiny 138 mm total but I am 5'9 and wear a 9 womens show. My wrists and hands are just mismatched to the rest of me. But the 38 mm seems to wirk great for me. Yesterday, I swapped my launch day iphone 6s plus in silver for a 6s plus in rose gold to match my new watch. I am waiting on some after market bands but love the orginal bands. And the new color.

I totally agree. The gold/midnight blue combination is really nice. I think it really dresses up the sports line for those wanting to go in that direction. Personally, I think it would be great for business casual (i.e. Which is how I dress for work)....I wear a lot of greys, blues and khaki.

However, for me (in the end) I decided to return it. I found the gold too limiting for alternative band colors (i.e. Just my personal opinion).

I went out today and bought the SS/Product Red Band (42mm) along with an extra black band. I think this will work better for me. The red sports band is for work outs and casual weekends and the black band for work. I'll post some pic's soon.

Btw....this was a very tough decision to return the gold/midnight blue as it is a really stunning combo!

Also....went by the post office, picked up a movers coupon package. It contains a 5% discount at Best Buy. The "really nice" person who handled my transaction bumped it up to 10% off. So, just a tip! Also, Best Buy was not showing any 42mm SS product red AW's on their website (i.e. It show "coming soon"). But, the Atlanta Best Buy's have this model.

Was at the Apple Store today and it was interesting to see that the green sport band is now gone, as were the Elevation Lab Nightstands, those were the ones that were in matching band colors of the original sports bands (White, Black, Green Blue and Salmon). One of the salespeople said they would no longer be carried, meaning the green sport band. I checked the Apple website when I got home and they are still on the website, so I guess we shall see. I just got my Apple Watch about 2 weeks ago and got the green band to match my Apple iPhone 6 case. So happy I didn't wait on getting the band, The iPhone case has already been discontinued and I loved the color.

Here are the pic's of the combination I ended up with: SS-AW (Product Red Band) with additional black band. I'm very happy with the combo....will work great for work, weekend and workouts.

The (Product)Red or navy sports bands are the next band I will try and get. IF I get the red band I will most likely get the matching iPhone case as well.

I've waited many months and 223 pages to join this thread. Well, here I am! Nothing special... standard 42mm Milanese and a Midnight Blue sport strap for workouts.

Thats is a super nice Nato strap however, aren't these designed to go across the back of the watch? How is it attached?

It's not a true nato strap, as it's in two parts.

Added the BrCB as of Friday. Love that Apple finally offered this band.

Got the Aluminium Sport with White Sports Band in May. Just received the clone Milanese Loop last week, so this is hoe my AW looks now.

I was always wary that the Stainless Steel Milanese Loop would look wierd with the Aluminium Sport, but in fact it looks brilliant. The tone difference in the two metals isn't as brash as I thought and in fact the two tone effect looks great. Definitely gives me a better option when going out or wearing a suit than the White Sport Band.
