I think the 42mm is maybe more common in my opinion due to the slighter bigger screen and battery life however for me I liked the look of the 38mm on my wrist and most 42mm bands wouldn't fit :)
I mean the 42 is way too big but don't get me wrong, it's nice. I personally think the 38 fits me well & I love it.

Was originally going to get the 42mm, but after trying them on at the Apple Store the 38mm looked so much better. The 42 looked too big and clunky on my wrist. Gotta go with the one that looks better and fits better on you.
I tried on my cousin 42 & loved it but its way too small. I personally love the 38.

Just got a lunatik epic aluminum from Best Buy.

After near 3 weeks switched to Hoco bracelet (Sport Space Gray 38 mm). The bracelet is probably a fake Hoco, but I don't care (looks like the original one, but who knows which one is original and which one is fake…?). It is OK, but I do not recommend. Just buy adapters and use your prefered bracelet. Hoco can be named Noname and it's a little overpriced.

how come you guys' 38mm's look bigger than mine? I have a 38mm and a 42mm in my hands and the 38mm looks so small on my 165mm wrist. But when I look at your pictures. It looks nice. This is so weird. The 42 mm space black steel looks awesome.

because people have different wrist sizes which will make the watch look bigger or smaller on their wrists...

The 42mm on my wrist looks like the 38mm on your wrist. With that being said, IMO the 38mm looks much better on you.

maybe it's me? The 42mm is about the same as my timex weekender, which is kind of small for my taste.

you guys had me doubted myself. I just tried on both again. The pictures are so deceiving. The 38mm is tiny ...

42mm it is for me.

It's probably a personal taste thing. No right or wrong.

How the watch looks on your wrist I will be different for everyone. Like I said in previous posts I fully went in to get the 42mm watch, but walked out with the 38mm watch. The 42mm watch looked way too big and bulky on my wrist and the 38mm looked perfect for my wrist, so I got the 38mm. A co-worker of mine got the same watch that I did, but his is a 42, and mine would look way to small on his wrists since he is bigger than me, even though we are the same height. It's also a matter of preference, like I said the 42mm looked way too big to me. His 42mm on my wrist looks out of place on my wrist and my 38mm on his wrist looks too small.

Any good third party leather band? Tried a bunch, none has high quality ...

Well for me close to perfect :
Hirsch Buffalo artisan, with a couple of some shiny 6 usd ebay spring bar adapters, did cost me less than 40 usd all together.
(The adapters look like damaged edges showing blank steel in the picture, but that is reflection. )

Wow that aluminum Lunatik Epic looks great. I'm thinking of getting one but first I have to ask. How long have you had it now and have you noticed any scratches it may have left on the finish of your Apple Watch? Do u have stainless?

Just bought the 42mm SS black. Loving it a lot. Bought an ivapo imitation stainless steel band. Looks pretty decent. Was a pain in the ass to size. Doesn't fit into the watch clips very smoothly. Otherwise I love this thing.
