Milanese Loop turned up, really happy with it. Certainly another bargain from CEX. Need to have a play around to get a watch face.

How'd it happen?

I bent down to pick something up off the floor and the corner of my ikea desk lightly grazed the screen, figured no way it would of done any damage yet I now have a scratch top to bottom. It's only really noticeable under direct light but it's still there.

First scratch is always the hardest. Now you can let go a little :)

I wouldn't mind so much but I've had the watch less than a week haha. I've always been a watch guy and I know as much as anyone that you can't prevent scratches (unless you have a grotesque case/screen protector on it).

Apparently toothpaste helps, not sure though..

Yup. Best you can do is upgrade to a steel model, but even then. it's still possible to scratch.

I posted in another thread but no one seemed to know, thought I'd try here ... It's showing off Apple Watches lol

These watches were purchased days apart but as you can see the lettering on the back is different, does anyone know why?

Purchased days apart from the same retailer? With the same band?

The manufacturing date could be completely unrelated to purchase date for a variety of reasons.

They were purchased days apart but from different retailers. Both are 42mm Sport with white sport bands

It could possibly be manufacturing dates and one style is newer and the other is older

Just speculation: Maybe they changed the writing because the old way of writing the letters and the apple logo on the back tended to peal of, the apple logo wasn't there anymore. It happened to my very first apple watch and to the one of my wife. i received a replacement (because my "friends and power off" button was broken) and up to now the writing on the back is fine.

So I had the Black Sport with Black band for about a week. Ended up not liking it as much as I think I would like the Silver Sport w/ White band... Whoever said once you go black you don't go back.... Pfffft! :p

I like the silver sport much better. I think it would fit many different straps in terms of look.

So after doing some digging the watch with the black writing was manufactured in July and the silver writing was manufactured in October. Seems like a design change.

Probably not a design change as much as likely a manufacturing change. I had read here on the forum that the black lettering on the aluminum watches was coming off. Saw several posts about it a while ago. People's theories about how it was put on the metal and not adhering. Believe the silver writing in likely laser printed in and at least won't flake off leaving a nicer look as time goes by.

Just came home to my new bands!
I didn't expect the delivery to be so fast, they arrived the day after they sent me the dispatch email. But yeah, I honestly think I'll be ordering a couple more different colours for the Sport bands at some point lol

So here's my collection at the moment~

L to R My Apple Watch with the Link bracelet, Milanese Loop, Black Sports band with SG pin and finally the Blue Sports band the AW came with.

The BSB was Grade A, it was only £12, which was pretty good and the Link Bracelet was Grade C but it's in pretty good condition too actually, not too bad for £100!
The only little nicks on it are on the back of the clasp, as expected, but it might look a little better whenever i try to polish it.
