Not sure if this is the best thread to ask in but I thought it would still involve showing off the Apple Watch at least. :p I was wondering if anyone who owns an Apple Watch with Midnight Blue Modern Buckle could show a picture of it with the Midnight Blue Leather iPhone 6s/ 6s Plus case? I'd really like to know how well they match, I tried checking in the Apple store but couldn't get a side by side comparison to see. Thanks :)

My launch day SS AW with the "old" classic buckle. Still wear it every day (usually with sport band) and love it. That being said, I have no intention of getting gen 2.

I happen to agree on Gen 2.
I so agree too. There is something special about Gen 1 products. I have the Gen 1 iPad mini, Gen 1 rMB, Gen 1 iPhone 6 and 6 plus, and now a Gen 1 AW. They have all worked well.

I feel the exact same way. Got a beautiful stainless steel watch with interchangeable band capabilities.

Have had this SS AW with Milanese since launch day and love it. Also have a midnight blue sport band which is great for workouts and also when I just feel like changing things up. AW remains a funny thing to me – I love it and everyone I know who has one agrees. But general press sentiment is pretty negative. I think the platform has a lot of potential, but even as is, I love the look and a variety very small but useful features (activity tracking, subtle notifications, weather, timer, music control, etc.). The only feature that would make me consider upgrading would be cellular capability to receive texts, emails, calls, etc. without iPhone and an impact on battery life, but think we're a good ways away from that being realized.

As I read you post I looked over at my Gen 1 iPod 5gb. Works perfectly

I don't have that combination, could be hard to find. Here's a couple of pics of a modern buckle color, and a pic of a blue sport band with the blue case. Sorry, that's all I got.

Oh thank you! It's actually nice to know how the midnight blue sport band looks with the case as well. It's silly but as my phone isn't silver to match the watch. I wanted a nice matching band and iPhone case combo. This gives a great comparison! Think I've found my next bands and case! Again thank you! :D

You're welcome! I was in a local store recently and I ALMOST pulled the trigger on the Apple midnight blue case, it's a nice shade
I don't worry too much about matching EVERYTHING either, so it's not so silly willy

isn't the top one third party, and therefore probably not the right shade anyway?

it's packed in a box. Right in the middle of a military move. I'm usually OCD about the screen and that picture killed me.

I meant to post this for a while. Here's my SGS :apple: Watch my wife got me for Christmas. My MIL got me the watch band from eBay/China. It is a matte black that has a gun metal sheen sometimes. It's definitely not as nice as Apples, but it goes well with the SGS.

I have to admit contacting their customer services can be tricky. They do not have a number to call, everything is done via email, which can lead to delays.

Never had any issues with them either via their stores or buying though their website. I've purchased 5 Apple Watch straps all have been perfect, dispatched and arrived quickly. The higher valued ones like the Leather Loops etc are shipped by insured next day delivery.

Ugh, this is a dilemma for me. The lack of a solid customer service department, or even a phone number, is normally a big red flag for me. The fact that several of you have had great experiences does count however. I guess what it comes down to is that this is a dice roll. Most likely I would be happy but if the bracelet arrives with a defect/damage, I might find myself caught up in a long and painful process to get it resolved.

The thing which makes it better for us in the UK is that we can just take the item back to one of their stores, which are everywhere as long as you have the receipt.

My blue sport band hasn't arrive from CEX yet, was shipped on the 7th.. o_O

I think they ask customers to allow five days for shipping. But how long ago did you place the order? The complaints I saw were for delays in processing the order.

So the stores will provide support to an order placed on their website? There is one within two hours of my house.

Finally pulled the trigger on an SS Link Bracelet! I stopped by an Apple Store today to try one on (it's been a while since I've had a hands-on) and found myself unable to leave without one.

FullSizeRender.jpg

What an amazing piece of engineering and craftsmanship. I've briefly tried them on before, but this is the first time I've really spent quality time with one. Very excited to finally have it after months of thinking about it. I'm not sure how often my leather loop is going to get used, going forward. I guess I'll come up with an excuse eventually.

I debated on going the CEX route but opted to get a new one from Apple instead. Having the piece of mind of Apple's support is important to me. No knocks against those who opt for second-hand -- CEX is certainly offering a great deal. If I lived close to a store I might have done it.

Not interested in a gen 2 neither but I do hope that my gen 1 doesn't get left out of any important features.

After using an Apple Watch Sport for months now, I realise how useful the watch has been for me so I finally pulled the trigger and got an Apple Watch Space Black Stainless Steel. It looks and feels much better than the Sport edition as it SS ones are really more suitable for any kind of occasion. The Sport ones look really "toyish"
