Sorry for this comment without photos, but as a person who have 4 different watches (i don't have smartwatch, just thinking about possibility to get it) i simply can't ignore fact that ~70% bought way too big Apple watch for their wrist :) Wearing 42mm watch on a wrist which is smaller than 7inch (~18cm) - not a good idea, trust me :) Oversized watches are not looking good on men, just my 2 cents (from a person who loves watches) :)

I disagree! I wear:
- Apple Watch 42mm and wished it was bigger
- I also own and wear Invicta watches (the divers ones). Massive and heavy! Expensive and just look damn good on my wrist

Now if I could buy a larger Watch from Apple, I'd do it!?!

My wrist is 18.5 cm tried the 38mm AW but I like the way the 42mm looks on my wrist, my wife agree as well.

Most people get what they like, even if you think it's too big for them that's just the way it is. Unless it's going to cause there wrist to fall apart I don't see what is the big deal. Let them be, and you just do you. As long as they are happy with their purchase that's all that matters, there is too much going on in the world for someone to miss the opportunity of being happy. Anyway enough said and I hope you have merry Christmas one love.

Come on, lads, i don't want to diss anybody with my post :) You have to like it how it is looks like on your wrist, that's what matters most and i'm totally agree with it. BUT, there is some rules how watch should look on your wrist (like dress code, or something). If your t-shirts size M, you can wear L, or even XL, but size M still fits you the best :)

...this post doesn't make sense to ME. I didn't say anything against anyone, did I?

My nicely patinated Gen. 1 and Navy/Tahoe blue nylon band.

i like seeing a nice patina. i bought a regular stainless and have been wondering if i should switch to space black instead, because it's likely much more durable in that regard. but i did purchase a skin for it so it should stay pretty pristine if i can get it on correctly. but a nice patina is not a bad look as long as one can avoid major scuffs and dings. the display models of the regular stainless always look pretty beat up. but they are being abused in a way that most aren't.

The only issue I have with the space black is once scratched your done no polishing. The regular stainless can always be polished if so desired.

that was another concern i had. still 50/50. i bought the regular stainless and waiting for delivery. i think ultimately i prefer that more traditional look. but it seems that most who have the SB can't seem to find any marks on theirs after months. but i've seen one or two with 'swirlies' and dings. tough call. yours looks good though. nicely worn.

I think you will be happy with it. Personally I also think more of the bands go with the regular stainless.

Are you on the fence with the space black just because it may be more durable? Or also between just the colours in general? If it's mostly for durability, just stick with the stainless. It's not that bad. My wife does NOT take care of her watch at all and she's had it since launch and still looks great. No huge nicks or gouges. The odd swirl mark, yeah, but it doesn't look beat up at all.

I also agree with RadioGaGa1984, I think goes better/easier with more bands too.

I think for me it was much more about the durability. The SB looks pretty spectacular in some pics, and especially with the colored sports bands. But in person I think I'm definitely more fond of the regular stainless I think. I used to be really into mechanical watches and the regular SS looks and feels more like a traditional watch. This is all good to know. I appreciate the feedback. I'm very careful with my watches, and I also bought an armorsuit skin for it. So I should be good. And eventually will probably be ok wearing it 'naked'.
