Just curious, what's the thinking behind this? Not judging, mind you.

That's okay, I'm glad you asked for it - well there is two issues:

1: I assume if a user bought new iPhone and setup the phone using default setting - In that case, the GPS location will tag every time as you click on the camera, that's why this will exposed your location. You know if it is somethings really valuable object(s) can be found in either foreground or background of the photo(s) where the criminal will take advantage of it.

2: GPS tags will expose your location, online user who will know who you are and where you live.

I would strongly advice you get above application or something similar that will allow you to strip out EXIF tags if you want to share various photos online.

It's your own decision if you want to follow or not, i'm just here to remind you :D

If you post an image with the location data present in the EXIF data, you basically tell everyone in the internet where you live/work.

i dont know how to check or disable EXIF on macbook pro. however, i believe my pics dont have GPS location because i turned off location services for my iphone camera. is that correct?

My location is right there under my username, as are a good percentage of the users on this forum. If someone really wanted to find me to take my watch, there's plenty of ways to do it without location data from the occasional photo I post.

If you don’t remove location data from your pictures then you are putting photos of your shiny toys on the internet with GPS coordinates so unsavoury types can come get them...

They're not going to be happy with what they find. Especially if they somehow are dumb enough to continue into the house after the alarm has been tripped.

Open your image using "Preview" just press command and i together

Click on "i" tab and you will find GPS tag in there, if you can't find GPS tag that means there is no GPS tag in there !

if you turn off GPS location for the camera then yes it won't show up.

The last few pictures you posted do not seem to contain any EXIF data.

thank you for checking. i guess the only downside to turning off location services is my iphone cannot pin the location of the photos, preventing organization of photos by location.

yes, your location is in wide area of the Madison which is a good enough not to exposed you specifically pin point area.

I guess GPS can affect your privacy policy lol

I got my watch on Saturday. Gold aluminum 40mm. I'm a little disappointed because it is really rose gold. A big difference between it and my 1st gen. Gold is better than silver for me but if I had known it was not gold gold, I wouldn't gotten black, I think.

I have a navy sport band on today. I'm posting pic of my old watch too just so you can see the difference.

Some websites strip this automatically when uploading a file. I wish MacRumors did this, at the very least for GPS data.

I'm 99% sure it does ... let me try ...

OK, scratch that, it doesn't :D You're right, I do it with edits/resampling (I rarely upload a direct image), but I thought in the latter case the forum stripped the meta-data.

anyone have the gold SS with the silver bracelet? I'm interested in that combo. I didn't like the Milanese gold on gold combo and ended up buying the Hermes instead. My gold one is still coming in today and I'm debating selling the Milanese band and picking up the bracelet and going with that combo.

I’ve got the Cape Cod Sport Loop, Leather Loop and Storm Grey Sport Loop coming tomorrow and I’ll have a decision which to keep.

I have a SS Space Black Series 4 and that Cape Cod looks a pretty darn cool color

44mm Hermes. Love how the watch face takes up the whole screen now. The packaging was pretty sweet too as it came in the orange Hermes box and both the watch and the band were wrapped in felt.

Apple is still including the Orange sport band too. I was wondering if they would take it away but it’s still there.

I picked up a Hermes too. Mainly because I was impatient to get a normal SS. But I’m so glad I did the Hermes watch face is so nice and simple. It feels like a genuinely premium watch. All the info isn’t for me. If I want it I’ll go get it via the apps. Will definitely buy it again.
