No, I am asking how an apple watch could record this? Would love to know how it is possible without LTE or a connected in range phone.
He was a journalist, and it was possible that the Turks were either spying or collaborating with him. I really have no idea. But, LTE that is unavailable to civilians doesn't mean an Apple Watch, iPhone combo can't be used by the spook agencies. Or they had a spy in the Saudi consulate staff. We don't even know if an AW was involved, just getting news in bits and pieces - interesting reading though.
aren't we going a bit off topic? unless you guys want to discuss the apple watch he was wearing...
New watch band arrived yesterday; now I only need my shiny new S4.

I received my refurbished 42mm S3 Nike version yesterday. It appears as new, will test out the Nike Run Club app tomorrow and leaving the iPhone at home.
Update: I just returned from my first run with the S3 and was surprised how low the volume was. Even turned all the way up, it was barely legible. I initiated a return and luckily found a Nike S4 44mm at Best Buy and it will be delivered by Wednesday. So much for the deal on a refurbished from Apple.

I put just the Apple logo as the monogram on my watch face as well. It looks great, very original looking.

The reflectivity gives it a nice pop. Having trouble capturing it in a photo. Someone else did a decent job of photographing it on this thread. I was going to sell it at a premium, but then I realized I liked it too much.

The top lug area on my Nike S4 seems a little on the loose side, by the way.
I can get other angles but it’s not a genuine Apple link bracelet. I need to get a new one soon as I’ve had this since my launch series 0 and some links have spacing due to it being over 3 years old.

Agree that we got off the topic WRT the Apple Watch itself, and its specifics to discuss and wonder.
The report is that the wife heard what was happening and at once informed the Turkish authorities - broadcast by the Apple Watch worn by the now dead journalist. Really don't know what kind of LTE or other wireless features was used, something that will be interesting to know.
