Sure? does not look very space black. Looks like pure Ti

Haha yes I’m sure my watch is SBTi. Pure Ti is way more silver, here for example. In courtesy to @techno-Zen here is a photo of the Pure Ti, clearly you can see how much lighter it is.

what if apple has been scamming us and its really just brushed aluminum

Brushed Aluminum Edition Watch $849
We already know Apple would do an amazing job at marketing how tedious the process was and upsell it really well! They’re great at that!

do these watch faces kill battery?

The app running in the background does use a little power, but with Always on Display turned off, it doesn’t seem to be too much.

I usually charge my watch for an hour before bed (I use the AutoSleep sleep tracking app so wear my watch overnight) and again when I shower in the morning any never had a problem.

Current favorite combo. S5 Natural Titanium + Plum Sport Band. I’m obsessed with this pairing, my only regret was not buying this band before it went out of stock and having to buy it elsewhere. Still happy I did.
Love the band color!

Such a shame it is impossible to find the band anywhere.

I don‘t know about $849 but a Watch that is as light as Aluminium but looks as classy as Steel/Titanium would definitely be on my list.

Proof: I got and loved the Jet Black iPhone 7. Great look, great weight.
Hmmm, polished Aluminum ... 🤤

I actually don’t like how light the aluminum feels, feels toyish to me. Just my preference of course! I’ve always preferred the heft of the stainless steel and Titanium is the perfect middle ground on weight compared to SS and aluminum. Also much prefer the sapphire crystal over ionx screen.

I don‘t mind the weight of the Steel Watch (and Titanium is indeed a nice middle ground), but for me it depends on the strap, actually. With very light straps (like, say, Sport Loops), the Steel Watch feels a little top-heavy to me; on the other hand, a heavier strap (Link Bracelet or even Milanese) works much better when the Watch is heavier as well. Sapphire crystal would be a given for the hypothetical “light, but expensive“ Watch.

In general, I never associated heft with being more premium, but I know many (most?) people do. I fondly remember first holding the „impossibly light“ iPhone 5 in my hands. I was so pleasantly light I first thought it was a store demo dummy unit.

Unfortunately not in Denmark, though.

Still not possible to order neither the 40 mm nor the 44 mm version.
Dang :(
I see that the solo loop is already available - maybe the sports band will, too within a few days. Same thing occurred in Switzerland. So check again within a day or two ;)
