That most definitely is the case. I know a lot of people who just want a way to decline calls without having to take out the phone - and some of them don‘t necessarily buy an Apple Watch to do that ;-)

For me, watches were always fashion and engineering combined… and also the only „jewelry“ I wear.

The Aluminum watch somehow didn’t tick the fashion box as much as the SSG does now, so the function part (which got me hooked initially) is still there but now the fashion factor is back. I always enjoyed sharing pics of my watches with other enthusiasts (on other forums) and now that „urge“ has returned ^^
I'm exactly the same. The watch I'm wearing is my only piece of jewelry or accessory. I had a hard time replacing my automatic watches with an Apple watch. But I found myself wearing the Apple watch so much more than my automatic watches because the Apple watch is just so super functional. If you come from collecting watches buying an Apple watch and bands for it costs you far less money. And like you said, the stainless steel version looks more like a real watch and also feels more like a real watch because of its weight.

So here are my thoughts on the silicone solo loops. I had to return the deep navy and the black because they collect dust like crazy and have a weird habit of showing something like a powdery chalky stuff on them. I've also watched a few Youtube videos showing dark discolourations on them over time. The more cheerful colours on the other hand don't have that problem or they just don't show it as much. My northern blue and pink-orange one (forgot the name of it) look absolutely brand new after a few months of use and they don't attract dust. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

My rather unsuccessful attempt of trying to capture the matching red accents of my car and boots. 😅

Wish I could set a digital time complication like that on my watch.

Have my time zone set with the Apple logo but have no face that allows me too, or am I wrong???
You could do it as a small corner complication on one of the pre-series 4 analog faces like Chronograph, Color, Explorer, Simple, or Utility. But a corner complication on any of the newer faces will show that annoying +0 hrs after the time. You can use the actual Digital Time complication in the top slot on California, Infograph, Meridian if you don’t mind that it shows seconds too.

Yeah I know those options, just like the Hermes face option, which I can’t have 🙁

Showing off the brushed finish of Titanium (excuse the purple light reflecting off the right corner)

i love it and one of my favourite things about Ti besides it’s durability

Well that titan look is awesome but those superficial scratches I do not like... I know that those you could probably buff out but I would love if they could do something so you can't get them in the first place.

I discovered a small company here in Germany called „vegan & smart“ that makes PETA-approved „vegan leather“ bands for the Apple Watch from differerent plant-based materials. As Apple never released a darker green Classic Buckle (or Hermès Single Tour), I thought I‘d give them a shot and ordered this band made from, of all things, cactus leaves. Colour me impressed! The material is almost as soft as the leather Apple used to use, just a little more shiny. They even use the same clasp design as the later (gen 4) Classic Buckles (albeit not spring-loaded) and the hardware (lugs and clasp) is available in almost all Apple Watch materials and colours. All this for 49 Euros, made in Germany, shipping worldwide. 9/10, would (will) buy again. Link
In lieu of the ever elusive Hermès Lime, I got the equally bright vegan & smart Yellow strap made of apple skin. It‘s a little less soft than the cactus material, but also less shiny. 8/10.

Each to their own but I think the scratches actually blend pretty well with the brushed finish. I think it can be buffed out somehow if you wanted to though

if you don’t like scratches then space black titanium is probably the way to go as this one has scratch resistant DLC coating

I know but giving the price it would be nice that all have some soft of coating to protect them at some extent...

Nah, that wouldn't be appropriate.
Especially Ti has this nice "self healing" that makes scratches kind of blend in with time and a coating ruins that. I had quite a few Ti watches (no AW yet, but Breitlings, a PAM and a Girard Perregaux) and those were the only ones where a (light) scratch didn't really bother me...
