Bought the Midnight Leather Link for my SBTi S7. I’ve always had the opinion that the leather link is rigid and stiff. But I was so wrong. It takes the form of your wrist with such ease and regardless if you wear it tight, the band just feels so comfortable. This is my new favourite band and my new go-to.

My only gripe is, it didn’t come in inky black. But the bluish tinge to it makes it more sophisticated.

I was also surprised at how comfortable it is. It is the band I have on the watch when I wear it for sleep tracking.

I still love SS and haven’t checked out of that particular finish but at the moment I’m pleased with Midnight. Its almost matte black finish satisfies and dresses up easily for an aluminum finish. I prefer it over the lackluster Space Gray (just my opinion). I’m impressed with the quality of the new screen. I used to hate how thin and plasticky the Ion-x screen felt, they’ve really improved it for sure. Having Sapphire Crystal standards it doesn’t disappoint. Also the Nike edition is a no brainer especially if you wear/collect the Nike Sport Bands/Loops.
I picked up a Midnight Aluminum S7 this week to use for workouts instead of using my Hermes or Ceramic, and I have to say I like it way more than I thought I would. I love dark watches - I had an SG S6 and my S7 Hermes is SBSS - and this finish is nice...like you said, a nice matte black. I don't see any blue in it at all.

That’s awesome! Congrats! Yea I lean towards dark watches as well.

Now that I have my Series 7 45mm Titanium, here’s all of my bands that aren’t cheap knock offs (I have many of those as well—mostly Sport Loops).

Silver Milanese Loop

I was concerned it wouldn’t look good with the Titanium but it’s perfectly fine!

I don’t wear this one often. It’s pretty heavy, it needs adjusting throughout the day, and I don’t like metal bands resting on my wooden desk all day as I work/type. It’s more for special occasions now (I used to wear it daily back when I had my Series 0).

Soft White Sport Band

This one came with my Series 4 Stainless Steel. I also have the original White Sport Band that came with my Series 0.

I wear this one pretty often due to its simplicity and cleanliness.

Nike Pride Sport Band

If I’m doing an intense workout, I usually put this one on or one of my knock-off Sport Loops. Sometimes I wear it otherwise just for a fun band.

Midnight Blue Sport Band (Gen 2)

I used to wear this one pretty often but have been wearing lighter/more fun colours lately. It’s a great band colour, however.

Spearmint Sport Band

I really love this shade of green. I wear this one pretty often.

Light Gray Sport Band (Edition)

This came included with the Titanium watch. I really like the versatility of this gray. Nice and simple.

Golden Brown Leather Loop

I’ve been wearing this exclusively so far since the Series 7 arrived with it—love it.

Fauve Barenia Leather Band

I had this commissioned via Etsy from a guy in Tokyo who handmade it to look like the Hermès Single Tour. Exact same leather used. It’s super soft and comfortable.

I really love the muted yet shiny look of the Titanium even more than the Stainless Steel watches I always got in the past. ❤️

Nice and thin.

Not on the other side of the wrist, though.

Looks like a nice band but how would „a guy in Tokio“ know where exactly Hermès gets their leather from?

He’s a full time leathersmith and an expert in leathers, so I’m sure he knew exactly where it comes from. Barenia is a specific region in France that Fauve Barenia leather comes from, and it’s made from calfskin there, and tanned in a specific way. He had purchased a pelt that’s from there and tanned in the same way.

Iirc, the listing at the time had said he purchased a pelt from the same tannery. In any event, I had an authentic Hermès single tour on hand which didn’t have enough holes for my smaller wrist (which is why I commissioned one like it). When this handmade band arrived, I compared the leather and couldn’t distinguish the two. It felt and looked identical in every way. It’s also aging/scratching/patinaing in the exact same way the Hermès bands do. So I don’t doubt it being an exact same hide. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting, I wondered if you had compared to a „real“ Hermès strap. I didn‘t know that Barenia leather is made by just one specific tannery in France, so it‘s actually quite simple to find the source! Was the stitching also close to the „original“?

Btw you can get extra holes punched in by Hermès - if you have an Hermès retail store nearby.

Yup looked identical. Everything about it he mimicked for me. He even got the same equestrian type buckle (but without HERMES on it). And the leather used on the bottom was the same.

Didn’t have one in my city, and wasn’t keen on doing it myself either. Plus, since that band was something like 3-4x what I’d pay to have one handmade for my exact size wrist, I decided to just go with the proper sized one.
