I’ve always bought the stainless steel models that I think are a bit stronger? I’ve never used a screen protector and have never had any scratches.

I use a screen protector but only the film type. It may not get scratches without it but I don’t want to take a chance. It doesn’t add any bulk and is barely visible so I’m happy with it. I currently have a space grey SE but have also used the same screen protector on my last SS.

Got my new AW7 Ti on Saturday, waiting for the FedEx van, drooling. It's here!

It arrived, let's check out the box for damage... awesome condition! No one ran over it! It wasn't dropped off the airplane or the (un)loading dock!

Wait, am I going to have sloppy band wiggling issues various threads here have discussed with the Ti... opening bands, hands shaking, dropped one of the bands on the floor, dog almost grabbed it, trying to attach them. Boom! Bands are awesome! Almost too tight! Love it!

Not in the clear yet .... will I have the dreaded "too-slow-fast charging issues" others here report with the Ti? OK, let me not get ahead of myself, let's first set it up before I charge it .... slick, easy transfer from old watch to new watch. Got cellular established, wait, it wants to update to 8.1.1. Done. Whooo!! It's like winning the AW lottery!!

Loving this thing! Great purchase decision, no buyer's remorse from me!

OK, final test, is it going to charge "fast" or am I in the "too-slow" camp!! Where's the charger, here it is, safe from the dog.... wait, what the.......... why is the charging puck jagged and has the appearance of being dropped on concrete and stepped on? Uhmm not good.

The charging puck is not "new". I'm thinking, over time, is this thing going to scratch the "medical sensors", mess up the functionality of the watch (not cosmetic, underside of watch, who cares)? Why risk it?! I paid $850, let's get a new one sent to me.

Hours on the phone, literally 6 people transferring my call around the globe. Two days of effort, wanted me to turn off "Find My", disconnect from cellular, unpair the watch, reboot the watch, do things with my iPhone that I cannot explain the meaning of, ultimately, the answer was: "Sorry, you're going to have to send the whole thing including watch and bands back to Apple in order to get a new charger". Wait, what? I live 2.5 hours from an Apple Store. I can't go and plead my case!

Make one last attempt at calling, transferred twice more. Found a sympathetic employee (she should get a raise). She said, I understand what you are going through, and you shouldn't have to send the whole thing back and wait for a new one, would it be agreeable for me to email you a gift card that will cover the cost of a new charger? Skip the runaround. Yes! Thank you, appreciate thinking outside of the box. Feeling the lottery thing again.

Should it really be this hard when purchasing a premium product? I know it's "only" $30, but I felt that the principle was worth the effort. It worked out in the end, and the watch is awesome, so it could be worse, and I am grateful for an employee that makes it "right", but really? ... just felt like relaying the story.

Congrats, the long awaited Ceramic! Now I’m curious if this tops the champ SBTi as your favorite finish.
Thanks :)

Yes, Ceramic is number 1 for me by far and I guess it'll be my daily wearer for the foreseeable future... it even has Apple Care until November 2022, so this really turned out to be a great buy.

I definitely don't regret selling off the silver SS because now I own my personal trinity of watch cases/finishes: Ceramic, Black Titanium and Gold Stainless. Might keep an eye out for a natural Ti though ;-)
